Donât be put off by all the stuffed animal heads. Food and service were really good. We did not have a reservation and the wait was around ten minutes. We ordered a three dish combination meal. Chicken, ribs, pulling pork, potato and salad. Enough for two people. The pulled pork was the best of the three. I would recommend this place at least to try.

Having been to Sammyâs in King Salmon (So. Eureka) and loving it, had to try their new location on Fifth Street. Lots of food choices-plates with sides or á la carte. I got the pulled pork with macaroni salad (SO GOOD!!) and coleslaw. My son got the tri-tip sandwich which he said was delicious. I also tried the crab puffs, excellent appetizer. Tried the banana cake and it was ok. Easy to find on north HWY 101. Clean restaurant, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

There are a lot of resturants in Eureka but I saw this little place and decided to give it a whirl since I love BBQ ribs. The restaurant is on the highway headed north. There is extra parking in the back. I'm more a beef ribs vs pork ribs fan but I decided to try the 1/2 rack of pork ribs since the description included a sweeter BBQ sauce.The servers were very nice and attentive.The meal started with some very nice beef vegetable soup. I ate very drop.The meal came with veggies and choice of a side - I went with loaded potatoes.The meal was very good. The meat was tender and flavorful; the sauce outstanding. The veggies were a delightful fresh sautéed medley of celery, onion, beans, peppers, and squash with excellent flavor. It could have been a little warmer. The potatoes were mashed with everything on it - sour cream, cheese, bacon, onions...it was fantastic but again luke warm.I told the server about the luke warm veggies and potatoes and I could have had them warmed up but I didn't want to give the plate up because it tasted so good. I wasn't complaining but just thought the cooks should have some feedback.I would definitely eat here again.
