This is our second vacation to this area and weâve not been able to match our schedules with when they were open. Saturday, we finally connected. By pass the funky exterior, ignore the owners self promoting, and enjoy the food. Excellent flavor on the pork ( both ribs and pulled pork). Various styles of sauces were available on the table, but arenât needed. All the sides tasted great as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside, just a limited number of days that theyâre open.

Came here for lunch the other day.. wanted chicken salad and this is a good place for it. they have a nice chicken salad sandwich!! We also enjoy the fried green beans! The prices are inexpensive, and the food is good here! Nice place to enjoy some of the locals!!

I popped in here one evening for the first time to grab a few pulled pork sandwiches to go. It's a very quaint, comfortable atmosphere perfectly suitable for dining in, with a country front porch feel of sorts. The two girls behind the counter were very friendly and had my sandwiches ready to go within a few minutes. At $4 each, and with a very tasty flavor, smoky, lean and fair in size with a zesty BBQ sauce on the side, I'll be back for more when I'm in town again. The fried pies are very good. Not a typical full-sized pie-- think the hand-held variety that Hostess makes but NOT covered in the sugar glazing. The word "fried" doesn't do these pies justice with regard to describing them since that conveys a greasy shell- but not greasy at all. If you eat it there they suggest adding their ice cream. I think they cost $2 a piece or less. Cheap and tasty.

My wife and I visited the restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere is a country motif and was pleasant. We ordered from the menu board a meat and two sides. The server was knowledgeable of the menu items and ingredients when asked. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. I had the pulled pork, the potato bake and Brunswick Stew. There was a good selection of BBQ sauces. The meal was delicious and I left stuffed. I highly recommend this restaurant for a dining experience.
