Tajikistan has yet to catch up with the western anti-smoking culture and we had to look around for a table that wasnt being polluted by the neighbours. To be fair the waitress kept her promise to keep smokers away from us. Cosy (ie small) restaurant with a lot of wood and an upstairs zone. The walls included pics of sci-fi scenes but quite tastefully done. There is a small stage where they had a singer with backing tapes - his choice of material didnt match the logos of the classic rock bands on the wall behind him though, and it was quite loud for us, seated near the PA.Good selection of standard meat dishes. My "rare" was more "medium" but it was tender and tasty. Like most restaurants in Tajikistan you have to order vegetables separately. Service was good, and I felt sorry for the waitresses having to bring all the food upstairs. I would return here if I were in town.
Where to eat Chinese food in Dushanbe: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Just do not miss this place, because of its premium unfiltered beer, unfiltered ambience, great style and rustique, delicious food. My scale goes actually to six balls, which TA doesn't show. One was removed because of my standard minus in restaurants with no pepper grinder, the televisions screens and the fact that they don't stop occasional smokers in the restaurant. Also a little minus for the dry bread.Still, this is the place for beer lovers and lovers of spectacular fresh salads, pickles from another world and a shashlik that you never will forget. My command Russian language is regrettably non-existent, and my waiter's English and Norwegian was zero. Therefore google translate made me and my waiter decide on a serving that ended up at least twice the amount of food that I could eat. Still, the experience was fantastic, and you feel at home immediately when you enter the door. If you will like to meet the local people, come here. If you don't speak the local languages, still come. You'll find your way. The restaurant's website is in English. They should have bothered themselves to translate also the menu into English. But I think I cannot demand that waiters speak English, it is my responsibility to learn what they speak here. Nest time i will be here in March. They say that flowers will blossom in March, and it is a lovely spring. I'll return then. For now, I'll go back to Norway with a smile on my face, happy to have had this great restaurant on my list of experiences. And thanks to the guys behind the desk at Atlas Hotel that made me aware of this place, almost insisting that I should go there. Even insisting on the type of beer I should have. Feels like heaven. Thank you.
Have a great beer and delicious steaks, bbq with us!
great meat outlet with cheap beer, very central, decent service, easy going atmosphere, i certainly recommend for an outing with friends
Rather peculiar looking place with an interesting wooden interior, including small hanging benches instead of bar stools (very, very unhandy).Good for some drinks prior to going to a large club.
