We decided and dine at this Konoba, without bookingfi n advance, before than re-embarking us on the ferry, between Porozina and Brestova ... attracted by the menu, which offered the piggy and the lamb cooked under the bell, at affordable prices. Many tables were available on the outdoor terrace, overlooked by a scenic skewer. We were told that the piggy portions were on reservation only (but the outside menu did not told this... why?): so we opt for a portion of octopus and a lamb of Cres, both cooked under the bell and a o portion of Busara mussels .The octopus was gummy, tasteless, hardly touchable with the knife: the mussels laso, muddy and misty. Do not hurt the lamb, hopefully. Were we just unlucky or... at the end of the season, the service got a bad bend?

Long tradition of preparing various dishes, the ripple of smells and the taste of our gourmet grill are just some of the specialties of our restaurant!
This is a lovely place. Very close to sea and good cofee. They have cacao also :) But service is terrible. Donât order big breakfast. It is only four slice of cheese and ham, jam. No vegetable. Ham and egs and ommelet are fine.

âIf God did not intend for us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat?â John Cleese Top-of-the-line meat pieces prepared in a homemade manner and with a lot of love invite meat fanatics to enjoy without limits!
First things first; I was hungry (as always). And if you've read my reviews before, you might be aware that I'm a Cevape fan. So how's things at Meat Me BBQ? Well, service was excellent. The waiter who looks like Karl Pilkington (absolutely no offence - great guy) was great. Problem is, it's a bit of a "hip" place. Serving Cevape with jogurt & humus might sound "creative", but we shouldn't reinvent the wheel, shall we? Cevape were slightly above average, but absolutely nothing to write home about. Bred was ok, nevertheless, playing lounge music doesn't account for charging a 10 percent premium.

if you come from app. 7:30 pm there are no wasps flying around anymore:)The food is great, if you want lamb peka (a kind of special barbecue), you have to order it a day before, which we did and it is one of the most delicious and traditional Croatian food which you can get! one detail - they should put more potatoes in it for 3 people! There is not a big choice in the menu and that is great, coz all you get is super fresh! Besides the lamb products they serve calamari and vegetarian risotto (with mushrooms - really good!)A special discovery was lamb liver as a starter - I normally hate liver and I fell in love! The village and the surroundings are heavenly, the prices actually also not really cheap - but it´s worth it and it´s understandable - not easy to ship up there and you eat happy island lamb:)The service is amazing, although they were in a lot of stress! We will come again if we visit Cres again!

My friend and I had planned to eat in Losinj, but passed through this tiny tony and saw the restaurant on the side of the road. What a find! The area is rolling grasslands, so the stand of trees and outside patio really called out. We sat in the courtyard, under a massive fig tree (and dodged a couple falling ripe figs!) and had a portion of the roast suckling pig that had just been pulled off the rotisserie out front. The waiter was so funny. When he learned I was from Texas, he told me about he and his friend, when children, and wore little tin badges and played "Walker, Texas Ranger". A guest at another table asked if we we lost - being on this quiet island so far from anyplace else :). It was a good meal, with good wine, and a altogether wonderful unexpected time. Exactly what you want when you travel!

When we arrived there was a vacant seefront table but the waiter said it was reserved. (It remained vacant for the rest of the night).Upon paying I requested a receipt and the person at the cashier pretended not to understand the word in 3 different languages. In the end he said he could not print a receipt if I paid in Euros, because accepting Euros was illigal. But he, not I, proposed that to me! Honest?

Mostly went there because of TA rating. Expectations were very high.Usually you have to take reservations. Otherwise, you will loose a chance to eat. From outside, nothing special. Even on the ugly side. Inside is ok.Service is excellent (at least when we were there)!Starter... lamb liver pate was full of bones! One star only. Home baked bread was ok, nothing special. Two cheeses good. PrÅ¡ut very good. Olives ok. Domestic red wine served cold! And not so good! 2-3 stars. We had mixture of food: lamb, calamari and ražnjiÄi.Grilled Calamari - like rubber, smelled like coal. Not Adriatic calamari!! Sidedish ok. 2-3 stars.RažnjiÄi - best part of our lunch. 4 starsLamb - we had grilled and mixture of 3 kinds of lamb. First, potatoes were the best. 5 stars. Grilled lamb was fair. In my plate, one peace was overcooked (hard as stone) and other part was bloody. Lamb parts were very tinly sliced! 3-4 stars.I donât understand the hype about this place. Mediocre food, no nice view. Nothing special! I was in doubt to give 3 or 4 stars. But because it is number one restaurant on Cres island I expected much more. So the rating is as you can see! ***
