Being a resident of Walnut Creek, where lack of parking has ruined many a restaurant, coupled with ruthless parking enforcement, my reviews always include parking. No prob here as SunValley Mall parking is plentiful, though at peak times, you may have have to hunt a bit.The restaurant is not within the Mall, but is clearly visible from Contra Costa Blvd. For a place that prides itself for its ribs, my ribs that came with the family meal-deal, 2 varieties including St.Louis, we're both "dry as dust", and the delicious sauce in which it was cooked could not overcome the dryness probably caused by sitting in a "hot table" too long. The half chicken that came with the deal was juicy and tender. But my biggest disappointment was the BURNT ENDS- sorry guys, call it what you will, these were not the real thing, but chunks of pork trying to look like the real thing-for shame! Rather than cheating, better to say"Sorry, we are out of this item!" The desert list is not long but judging by the SNICKERS ICE CREAM PIE WE SHARED, it is very tasty and a bit different. Overall, lacking in quality food preparation for which big portions cannot compensate!Richard Hurley,Walnut Creek

Our initial impression was not good. The noise level from the overhead speakers made conversation virtually impossible. It took SEVERAL requests of the manager before the sound was reduced. Then, although we had a reservation for 10, we were advised that we couldn't be seated till 70% of our party was present, so they expected the six of of (only 60%) to stand around & wait till the 7th arrived. The shtick is: order as much food as you can eat in 2 hours; no limit other than four dishes at a time from the menu of 35 items. Not a good place for a vegetarian. Although the food was certainly plentiful, the meats were VERY fatty. The marinades were good. To their credit, they had a full house on a Thursday night. (Lots of BIG people.) My wife & I will not be back.

Barbecue is what we do!
Try the early bird special before 6. Comes with brisket, just ok, chicken, very good and ribs, yummy. Includes 2 sides I recommend scallop potatoes be one of them. The bring three different breads, the cornbread is the best. They also offer salads and sandwiches.

The Chiliâs restaurant in Concord is comfortable, with both tables and booths. It is family friendly and the menu consists mostly of bbq, steaks and ribs, burgers, salads, and sides. the service is very efficient and cordial. If you log in on their website and create an account you get free chips and salsa or a non-alcoholic beverage on every visit. On our visit the BBQ platter, the Quesadilla Explosion Salad, and the Sâmores Molten Chocolate Cake were real standouts. There is plenty of parking at this location and it is also adjacent to a freeway entrance and exit.
