Things to do in Cayo
We first tried BBQ chicken and pork from Boiton's about 2 years ago. They also have some yummy desserts - cheesecakes, flan and other cakes. One day when Boiton's wasn't open, we decided to try one of the other BBQ street stalls along the same strip. Although the chicken was good, Boiton's seems to have another level of flavour that was missing from one of their competitors. So, Boiton's it is, for us.You can get chicken, pork and sometimes other meats, alone, or accompanied by tortillas and other sides. Two pieces of chicken will be about $9 BZ ($4.50 US).We have just returned from Belize and went to Boiton's twice while we were there and each time we were just as happy as on our previous trips there.
A&R restaurant in the Belmopan market Square is the taste of Belize and everything Belizean. Our foods are marinated with Belizean spices, love and not to mention affordable.A&R restaurant will satisfy your every longing for a taste of Belize and Belizean
Food was delicious, I am really impress. Price is low, generally dont do low price, but a local recommended the place as the best in Belmopan. If you miss A and R Belizean food at the heart of the downtown Belmopan, you have not had a real Belizean sizzling marinated food. No need to worry about being over charged! They are friendly and have a clean place! Lot of natural juices like watermelon, orange juice and sour soup, a recommended cure for cancer.
This is the first restaurant I have found in Belize with brisket! Being from Texas we have been missing good smoke brisket. We ate here a few weeks ago and it was VERY good and reasonably priced. Brisket, Pulled Prok, Ribs, Burgers and more. Small casual outdoor dining. Will definitely be going back.

Ham's offers awesome and authentic TX style BBQ in the Cayo District of Belize. They are very conveniently located along the highway outside San Ignacio, so you you might be able to stop in on your way to/from the airport, zoo, Mayan tours, caves, ziplining, etc. My wife and I spent a wonderful 9 days in Belize seeing all the sights and we ate at Ham's three times. Besides their convenient location, clean restrooms, and friendly service, they offer the most important thing of all: great tasting and high quality food! We had the pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches. Once we ate at Ham's location and the other times we just grabbed sandwiches to go, very convenient indeed. The have ice cold drinks and offer the extremely tasty Hot Mama's brand Belizean made hot sauces. (Try the Manganero! OMG) They are in the same location as the Hot Mama's factory, so you might be able to get a tour depending on when you stop by.Steven offers a really friendly and high quality food establishment. While there are many places to get great local food, for sheer convenience, taste and something different (or a taste from home) you really ought to stop by and have a bite!!
Where to eat Indian food in Cayo: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We passed by a big sign that said South Texas BBQ and thought we'd give it a try since we're from South Texas. They were out of everything we wanted on the menu. I think we ordered 2 or 3 times and each time our waitress come back to tell us they were out. Eventually we decided on something else - I believe it was brisket? Either was it was fatty with very little edible meat. The beans were good though. The BBQ sauce was okay tasting as well. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I wouldn't recommend.

This is a tiny place by the road where you eat excellent BBQ chicken + tortilla + sauce for Bz$5 or with backed beans and coleslaw Bz$8 Good for budget travellers
Having tested three spots in the area, we've decided that nothing can match state-side BBQ. What you get is a quarter of a chicken, no pulled pork or chicken, and no brisket. Chicken here is over-grilled and chewy. Order dark meat rather than white. The price is reasonable at $5 Belizean but there's not much meat on the chicken either. And the BBQ sauce? It's red, but no flavor. Of the spots available on the drag, Boiton's is probably as good as it gets. It's just not what we expected or hoped for.

This place has a minimum waiting time, always freshly bbq'ed chicken and most delicious kebabs. You can choose a quarter, half or while chicken for very reasonable prices. Tip: ask for a wheat tortilla if you don't like the typical Spanish corn tortillas.

Stopped here after checking out a few other local spots and Mom's seemed to give more wings for the money. The waitress moved very slow and seemed like to she did not want to be there. Asked if they had internet, the waitress said yes and then walked away without providing the wifi info. The food took a while to be served but the wings with the barbecue sauce were very good. My friend ordered a Belikin off the menu and the waitress made sure she verbally added that the price went up 50 cents. Overall, we would eat stop here again for the wings but the service could definitely be improved upon.

Although the staff were new and things were a little disorganized at first, our overall experience was good. The burgers continue to be absolutely delicious ( I had been craving one for days before we finally got there) and the pork ribs were just as good as they have ever been. Portions are always generous and we have never left here hungry. If we have one suggestion, it is to make the menu clearer - the burger additions list an egg and cheese as extras. When my burger came last time, it had an egg on it (I don't eat eggs and some people are allergic so this could be a problem), so this time I specified no egg. It does not say that all burgers come with eggs, so clarify this if you are ordering. Also, there were 6 of us and we reserved a table. When we got there, the table was pushed against a wall, so we had to sit 4 along one side and one at each end - not great for conversation. The table behind us was set up somewhat the same. We wanted to speak to the owner about our concerns but he wasn't there when we left.

Your delightful Barn & Grill restaurant, located on a horse ranch and specializing in burgers and steaks. A chill relaxing feel set in nature with the sound of birds while you enjoy the delicious food that Belize has to offer.
I visited Trey's with a group that was in Belize for a mission trip. What an amazing experience. Excellent service and amazing food. Between our group we had various steaks, ribs, chicken and pork chops. All were excellent. The sides and dessert were also delicious. This was my third visit and all previous were similarly excellent. Will definitely return the next time I am in country!
