We (family) with two kids came this year back again to eat at El Toro. Nothing changed since last year. Great Food. Excellent quality. Excellent service. You can feel and see that the mood within the waiters and waitresses is more than good. Keep on going El Toro on this level. We will definitely come back. level. What a great Steak Restaurant.

We visited here twice this holiday as it was worth coming back to.First visit had nachos to share (and thought our stomachs would burst) then a burger and burrito. Champions League football that night.Second visit had empanada and chicken wings followed by lasagne and burger. The empanada was so Argentinian that I asked the waitress if the owner was from Argentina. Turns out his wife is and that was why it was the best empanada Iâve had outside Argentina. And as good as most there. Football was La Liga.Not sure how much of a look in a Premiership match would get versus Barca followed by Real Madrid but happy to watch them.Very tasty food and football in a nice restaurant setting rather than a sports bar type setting.Recommended.It is so great for us that you really enjoyed your nights in our place. We would like to thank you for this review and your recommendation. He hope to see you soon again here for another special football night, accompanied with dishes like the ones you have just described.

We visited bar- refugio with friend who recommended it. Exciting journey to get there from Benetachell, stopping off at wine cooperative Bodegas Xaló, not for the driver though.After twists and turns we arrive at the unpretentious bar refugio whith the most fantastic views. we had a table right on the edge with a wonderful panoramic view. We ordered BBQ rabbit, lamb and chicken with tapas and wine included 4 people for less than 80 euros. The BBQ meat cooked on open fire in restaurant. What a great experience.

We seated quickly on a spacious table and given menus in our language of choice. Unlike some, the English menu makes sense! We skipped starters and ordered main courses and were pleased we did so as the portions are generous. We ordered the roast chicken, fish burger and the Flintstone Ribs. It was all good but the ribs just fell off the bone and the sheer amount of tender meat almost defeated me! All round good efficient service, excellent food and a great atmosphere.

We ate here on a recommendation but unfortunately La Bovina didn't live up to expectations.The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good but nothing special.We had a mixed grill to share and the selection of meats were good quality but there was nothing special about they way they were cooked.The chicken was nice as was the lasagne but again missing that wow factor.Overall we enjoyed our meal but with so many good options in Calpe I can't imagine we would return.
