You will only find this restaurant by recommendation. It is about a kilometre up a track off the Figueres to Besalu road, near to Besalu. It is family run and family friendly. Beautiful Catalan Sunday lunch,well served and reasonably priced. It is far removed from the Costa Brava most tourists experience and better for that. Clean stone walled dinning room and a good choice of food.

A little outside of Besalu and reached by car etc only. Lovely farmyard setting and pretty restaurant . Had lunch today and it was really superb and not expensive. 30euros a head including a bottle of wine. Friendly,attentive service and good atmosphere. Only open weekends this is a hidden Catalan treasure.

We visit this restaurant a couple of times a year and it is excellent value for money. Last nigh kid shoulder as well as pork trotter starter. Always locals eating there which is a good indication of its value. Friendly helpful service and good Catalan plain cooking.

We are huge fans of Mas El Pi. It is well located on the road to Sadernes, the jumping off point for swimming, climbing & hiking gateway in the Alta Garrotxa wilderness area. We have been coming here periodically for a couple of years. The place is run by a Catalan couple who take enormous pride in what they do - serving simple and delicious food (grilled meat, salads, etc). There are even a few vegetarian dishes, relatively rare for Catalunya. Super place to bring kids and a nice terrace out front to enjoy the views. Excellent value for money.
