Great little place, run by a South African family. I had one of the best burgers ever. The "chef Joe burger" was absolutelly excellent: chicken, bacon, double cheese, steak, some lettuce, onion and sauce on a nice crispy bun prepared to perfection. Really awesome taste and a nice experience because of the cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.

This was our favourite restaurant at the maritim. Laid back, relaxed atmosphere outside on benches on the beach front. Starter and dessert are buffet but the main is al a carte and waiter service along with the drinks. Can choose as many sides as you like! I had the chicken and my partner had the sirloin and both were lovely and steak cooked perfectly medium-rare. We actually couldnât manage dessert as there was so much food! Share table with other couples but staff make sure bookings are staggered and itâs never overcrowded. Musician playing added to the relaxed ambience. We loved it and would def recommend. Dogs and cats werenât a problem, they sit nearby as they obviously know they get scraps but they donât pester and arenât starving. Even pet dogs in uk would act the same.

The mark of a really good, can do Restsurant is what happens when the main chef is out sick. In this case the owner steps in and the food is still good. At a packed house on Saturday night my Sea bream curry with eggplant served with saffron rice was the best curry I've had in Mauritius in three weeks. The salad bar was fresh and very, very good. Nice selection and it's free. The pineapple flambé was a nice surprise. I saw lots of other tasty meals going by me towards eager diners. Lots to try the next time which will be soon.

We didn't like the food here as much as some previous reviewers, but we did like this modest restaurant. The owner and chef is friendly and sweet, and a good cook. Her menu is limited, mostly Chinese-inspired rice and noodle dishes (try the upside down bowl with noodles). Tasty and cheap, but I would have happily paid more for a little more meat. If you go with modest expectations, you'll enjoy your meal here.
