Well ashamed to tell you what happened. Despite having reserved a table, the owner when saw us at the door, refused to assign us a table because of an alleged previous (last year) offensive attitude of the customer. Nothing to add. This restaurant located near the medieval fort, the ''Torre di Cerrano'' is a hidden gem because it specialises in food typical of the Abruzzo region. Food from this Italian region is not well known abroad, but is very distinctive owing to the extremely varied climate and geography of the Abruzzo area, which comprises large mountain ranges, forests and the sea, all within a 100km distance. There is also a nice slection of good value wines. Especially recommended is the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.The family who run the restaurant are polite and accomodating and generous with their servings.

had a lovely meal here, the menu is not extensive but that makes it easier to choose! has had some interior renovation since our last visit. the liver arostocini are fab, the whole meal was excellent, good service. the house red was very good. lots of locals in so that's a good sign. see you next year.

You visit this Osteria especially for two things: their "filetto" is the best piece of meat I've ever had. Served simply with ruccola and with a sprinkle of the very special, delicious and unique olive oil "Fiorano 241" produced with high quality as I understood (and tasted), in the village of Loreto Aprutino. Secondly, make sure you arrive before sunset giving you the opportunity to witness a spectacular sunset facing the mountains and the hills of Abruzzo. Outdoor terraces is not easy to find in Abruzzo! Located in the historic center of Città Sant Angelo.

Returned for another annual visit to this wonderful restauarnt. The ambiance and the food is a wonderful italian evening. We asked the chef to bring us what he felt was his best dishes.....We started with a great antipasto.....then the entree was outstanding. The desert was homemade too. The chef developed a new way of cooking the pork that was flavorful yet still contained all the essential minerals and benefits of the meat. Highly recommend if you are in the area. A not to be missed experience...I can not wait until my return visit.

Not easy to find but well worth the trouble. The restaurant is hidden on the hills towards Montepagano and is a lovely authentic eatery.Food is locally produced, fresh and traditional. The service was excellent and we enjoyed a fabulous evening at this quaint establishment

Cena a base di pizza in una afosa serata di fine estate. Pizza di alta qualità e molto digeribile, antipasti ottimi e ampia scelta di bevande. Unico neo alcuni tavoli all'aperto praticamente sulla strada dove non passano molte macchine ma lofanno ad andatura sostenuta.

Simple local restaurant with a fairly small (verbally communicated) menu. All of the dishes that we tasted were well made and very enjoyable. The service was good and staff were very friendly. The olive oil was local and of very high quality. Of all the dishes, one particularly good one was the liver arrosticini. Definitely worth a return visit.

We've eaten here twice and on both occasions found the arrosticini (type of kebab only found in the Abruzzo region) tasty and authentic. There are three types available: small ones - lamb, then there are lamb and liver, and finally the grande (large), made from mutton. The Bar prides itself on preparing the arrosticini from the word go... They keep the sheep and produce the meat. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere casual and welcoming. Good value and local house wines delicious! It's all they do, so if you are vegetarian, then this is not the place for you. However if you love freshly grilled meat, then you can't go wrong here.
