Nice traditional meals, located on the sea offering a seating balcony just meters away from water, lovely service another family run business, average prices.
I have decided to write to all of my reviews for Astypalaia restaurants (except for one) the following phrase (which is not necessarily fully applicable for all of them) : "in general, the food we tasted in the island was the worse experience throughout our journey and the worse we have ever tastes in a Greek island; the reason for this in our opinion is that the owners of the restaurants do not feel the need to offer more qualitative dishes since the majority of tourists are satisfied to a lower food quality and since the owners are not interested to establish long-term relationship with the customer given that there is constant renewal".We tasted four dishes.Lamp ribs, pork ribs, lamp kidney and oiled vegetables. The ribs and the vegetables were just mediocre.Actually the lamp ribs were not actually ribs, since it was a different part of the animal. The kidney was awful and it was seeking badly.First of all we were not informed that the kidney is from a lamb and not from a beef as usually.Despite this, in Greek Easter we usually cook lamp kidneys in several ways and therefore the majority of Greeks (including me) are aware of the taste and of the odour. The part that we were served was smelling badly. The owners are friendly, the spot is nice in a small village of Astypalaia. We have heard good reviews and maybe we were on a bad day

The one described here was unacceptable.
