Let me start out by saying the pulled pork sandwich and side of sweet potato casserole was pretty good, but would have been so much better if the casserole was hot instead of barely lukewarm. If someone would have checked to see if everything was ok, I would have sent it back and asked them to nuke it for a few seconds. The restaurant wasn't very busy so a waitress could have made the rounds. Oh well, not sure I'd be back if ever in the area again.I apologize, that should not have happened. I appreciate you letting us know, and will follow up with additional training for both the kitchen and serving staff. If you can let me know which day and approximate time of day you were in that would be helpful.

Yes, it's a BBQ place. Yes, the BBQ is excellent. The staff are friendly and the service is great. But I come here for the delicious and perfectly fried catfish! Two large filets are more than enough for one person, but somehow I always manage to eat them both! Give'em a try!

Make sure you're hungry when you go there. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. You can easily share a dinner plate with another person. Was very surprised to see that for a barbecue joint they don't serve ribs; but their pulled pork sandwiches are very good and very big.

This was my second visit to the newest Smokin' Pig. My wife and I ate there a week or so after it opened. Last night we took six other family members with us. We ranged in age from 95 to 6. Everyone was able to find something that they wanted to eat. You order and pay for your food before you are seated. You will be asked how many in your party and you will be told where to sit. We ordered everything from a hot dog to a brisket and rib combo, a junior chopped pork sandwich to a chopped pork plate with two sides and a biscuit. Everyone commented on how good their food was. Some of the sides that were ordered were fried okra, cole slaw, loaded potato bake, French fries, and banana pudding. A special treat was the free basket loaded with fried pork skins. They are on the spicy side so make sure that you have plenty of drink before you start to eat them. The service was excellent. Several times during the meal our cups were refilled with the beverage we had chosen. We were even offered an additional basket of pork skins. You can get a take out box if you desire. One thing that is different is that you are given your credit card receipt to take to the table with you. You can sign it at any time and add your tip. The waitress will pick it up at the end of your meal. You can order a take out meal and your order is taken at the back of the restaurant. I suggest that you come early to enjoy some great barbecue.

I took my husband here for a prefather’s day dinner, on Friday night. I ordered flounder. It had no seasoning on it. They give you a load of fries. They are fresh cut but with no salt or seasoning. Our meal was about $40 with tip. It was not worth that. Two pieces of fish, fries and mediocre slaw. Maybe the barbecue is good but I would not know. We were in line outside of the restaurant because you place your order as soon as you enter, at the cash register. The food is there and they prepare the plates there. It is extremely casual and somewhat disappointing. I will not return, nor would I recommend it. The staff was nice.
