We went there twice for dinner, in August 2017, whilst on a family holiday in the area. In three words: Its always packed. By Italians it is, which is always a very good sign. The restaurant is on the side of the road, but this should not put you off: Its peaceful and quiet. The terrasse is lovely in the summer evening. This is a simple place, with Italian families (kids running around, people laughing loudly, entire families uniting for dinner, etc...lovely) and very rare tourists making the picture. The food is such that people are visibly happy to eat here. Dishes are simple but well executed: pasta is typical Tuscany (out of this world the "pici al ragù di cinghiale", the "penne al funghi porcini", etc..), and generous. The Pizzas are great and tasty with a nice thin and crunchy crust, typical for the region (the pizza crust tend to be thinner here than in Napoli I find). The wine list is very good, with lovely wines from Vino Nobile de Multepuciano, or Montalcino, and very reasonably priced. Service is good and people are smiling.Being a lover of Italian food, I recommend this place.

Went for lunch at Osteria da Sira e Remino and had an OK meal. Most of us had pasta, and the pici with pepper and cheese was great, so was the pici with tomato/garlic sauce. My 7yo son had papardelle with wild boar and ate the entire plate :-) My parents had some grilled meat which was fine but nothing special. The restaurant forgot to serve the vegies they ordered as a side dish. Am unsure if they were charged or not as I did not see the bill. Icecream was a bit boring (sorry), so go elsewhere for desserts :-)

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Italy. The first time we went was in 2008 and then just recently again. The Pappardelle with rabbit sauce was out of this world. Other excellent dishes we had were grilled veal, pappardelle with veal sauce, pollo alla diavola, for dessert the panna cotta con frutti di bosco was amazing. The atmosphere is family oriented. 9 people with wine, water, antipasti. primo, secondo, and dessert came to 215 euro.Worth every cent!

Little, rustic and beautiful in the tuscany country. The restaurant room is just for 12 table and reservations is racomended... we have 2 gardens, one in the front and another more romantic and privee that are open in the good season for breakfast, lunch
We stopped here for lunch mid week on a rainy day coming from Siena. The restaurant is not in town, but on the mountain road, tucked into a small hamlet. 2.5 hours later we walked out as happy as a family could be. The owner, her friends, and the food were are inviting and amazing. By far the best Bistecca we had all week as secondi, cooked to perfection along with a primi of pasta for each of us. The local village wine was delicious as well. I would come back to this area just to eat at this place. Was a fond memory and we even got pictures with the owner. Lunch for four 112.00 Euro

Our first time in Italy, we joined friends, and ate at several good restaurants. Then our group of twelve went to the Fornace Restaurant. We were the first ones there, so the owner showed us the dining area of this remodeled old brick factory. Just a beautiful setting, with a seating area in every nook and cranny. The meats are cooked over hot coals next to the fireplace with the oak logs burning. All of the appetizers and entrees had superb seasonings, and the deserts were top notch. After we finished the 7 course meal including white and red wines, we had a delicious toast to the owner drinking Grappa. We were the last group out the door. A never-to-forget experience. Cannot wait to return. If 6 stars were possible...this would get my vote.

The simplicity of Tuscan flavours, the perfumes of our valley can be found in the dishes of the Osteria, the youthful country restaurant, perfect for dinner with friends or a romantic date. At the Osteria every occasion is a special one.If you come once,
Amazing traditional pretty restaurant in the village square of a small Tuscan village. They accommodated us for a late dinner (9.30pm) as we only just arrived to our B&B nearby. The menu was quite large with varied options, and prices were very reasonable. We ordered a delicious, out of this world truffle & porcini mushroom pasta! It was soo good but portion size a bit small. The truffle pizza was also very delicious, base nice and thin and crispy! The lamb ragout pasta was also good. House wine was nice and good value and they offer carafes. The waitress even offered to keep our food warm when one of us had to put a child to bed. We went again another night and ordered an amazing meat platter which was perfectly cooked and juicy. The service was again very good. Overall, this is the best tasting restaurant in the village out of the 2 restaurants there (we felt the other restaurant has a nicer panorama view from the terrace but the food is not as good).
