I have a job that affords me the luxury of travel to great cities, so I kind of consider myself a BBQ connoisseur. Salt + Smoke is the best Iâve had taking into account Dallas, Houston, Kansas and Memphis. Everything - literally everything was excellent; main course meats and the sides. The meat melts and if youâre ok with a sloppy heavenly experience get it âtrashyâ.

Phil's is sort of a tradition in the St. Louis Area. It offers an extensive BBQ menu, and the sauce they make is terrific. It is sweet with a bite. My favorite thing on the menu is the pork steak, which is a truly St. Louis dish. The pork steak is smothered in their wonderful sauce.

I love Smoking Barrels BBQ. It is close and reasonable. Eat in our carry out, it's great. The servings are generous. My favorite is the lunch platter with the ribs. I skip the bread and order three sides: homemade applesauce, green beans and baked potato, yummy!!
