The bathroom and toilet in particular were dirty, there was no coffee or milk, the kettle did not work properly and there were cobwebs round the top of the bedroom window. The evening meal was good but the bar area and tables were tatty and very bare and we had to ask for cutlery for our meal. The breakfast just consisted of a full English with no fruit juice, no cereals, no croissants or no fresh fruit. very poor. Even the coffee was instant coffee served in a tea pot ! Not worth £105 B&B.

Friendly and willing staff and service but food just average âpub grubâ. Dining conservatory area well presented but as it was a hot day, uncomfortable with solar gain.Pleasant to sit out in the garden area.

We had a great meal here, the food was delicious, my fave was the breaded Brie wedges with salad and sweet potato fries, my daughter had the homemade steak pie with chips, peas and gravy, very tasty. They serve a very tasty rhubarb cider which is delicious. If you like good food, visit the Sycamore Inn.

Charming rural pub. Decent Marston beer. Slightly slaughtered lamb vibe on a couple of evenings ( we were staying in an Airbnb locally). So , so far , ok .But the last evening we ordered , inter alia , chicken Kiev and it was , when served , raw and yukky. When sent back another one arrived . A bit less raw . But still partially uncooked.Amateurish , well intentioned , bit sad.

Very attractive pub/restaurant, lovely outdoor seating area. Dog friendly in bar. Great choice of food , all well cooked and nicely presented. Small appetites catered for. Attentive and welcoming staff , will definitely be back when in area , it's a gem ! Thank you for making our family reunion a happy day.

Visited with some friends after activities at Carsington. Ordered a burger and chips - food was very nice, so many chunky chips. Would definitely go back. A friend ordered the fish goujon sandwich and that was a bit lacking on the goujon side.

A proper pub with real atmosphere and clearly loved by the locals and many others, always a good sign - and a real fire! Lounge bar traditional, with separate linked restaurant. Simple and effective, friendly staff and super food - we lucked out by walking in and discovering it was âSteak Wednesdayâ. Donât know how they do that quality and quantity of good food for the price - x2 8oz sirloin dinners a drink each and bottle of wine £38. Definitely recommend for a good authentic evening either to eat or a quick pint by the fire. Thank you

Great village pub with an awesome selection of drinks. There's a brewery on site plus local craft ales and ciders, any spirits you could wish for, great food and amazing hosts. All the food is locally sourced and cooked with love. Bands on every Friday and Saturday, what's not to like?

Visited Saturday night and had some great food, service in the restaurant was very friendly, menu had the usual pub food and also a specials menu which gave us plenty of choice. I had the fish and chips which was huge, homemade tartar sauce was a nice surprise. My wife had the lamb special which she said was lovely. Look no further for a great meal
