This is the best restaurant local to Aylesbury. The food has been absolutely fantastic every time Iâve been. The restaurant is small and you are well looked after, the bar is comfy and homely AND they have a great cat named Trinidad. Run by people that love what they do.

Welcome to The Bell Inn, conveniently located in the tranquil village of Beachampton, just a couple of miles from Stony Stratford. Refurbished in the Autumn of 2012 to a high standard, The Bell Inn now has a contemporary feel, but has retained the great f
This lovely pub / restaurant is so easily missed unless you happen to be travelling around the pretty villages on the outskirts of MK. Itâs well worth a visit. Lovely setting with pretty gardens. Small but well stocked bar leading to comfortable, clean and nicely decorated dining areas. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food nicely presented, well cooked and delicious - we chose The Bell burger, the sea bass, chorizo (while youâre waiting) and ocean platter to share - all of which were superb. Worth also noting that theyâre more than happy to âtweakâ or adjust their menu to your request - lovely touch. We didnât have a lot of room left for pudding but the crumble and the creme brûlée were lovely and more than enough between the four of us.Would definitely return. Recommended.

Having made a reservation some three weeks before, we were astonished to be greeted upon arrival with blank looks. However, the reaction of the staff in attendance clearly indicated that lost reservations are not uncommon. Luckily, we nevertheless got a table on the terrace. The starters arrived swiftly, but everything slowed down thereafter. Even going to the bar ourselves to order drinks took time, with only one girl actually tending the bar and another three staff members looking busy while not performing anything obviously useful. When we ordered desserts we were informed that some of the ice-cream choices were unavailable as there were problems with the freezer. The ice-cream desserts that we did order came without the advertised brandy baskets. When we pointed this out we were told that the chef had forgotten to put in an order for them (as would have been known at the beginning of the day). This used to be a lovely pub.

A menu that's a cut above the average "pub grub" selection. Even the burgers and bacon sandwiches come in a brioche bun instead of boring sliced bread, and the meat is excellent quality. A good selection of beers, served by friendly, efficient staff. The pub itself is comfortable and quirky, while the beer garden is well-maintained and a lovely place to sit.Hi Passerby P,Thank you for taking the time to review The Pilgrim. It is great to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. We hope to see you again soon.Kind regardsBrett

The Betsey Wynne was built in the heart of Swanbourne on disused allotments and a field known as âSpuddle Spitsâ back in 2006. Upon walking back from a pub in Winslow late one night, Tom Fremantle, a descendant of Betsey Wynne and of the Fremantle family

Waitress helpful but tired from event in hotel the night before. Breakfast consisted of basic pretty much dried up unreplenished cooked food sat under heat lamp for sometime. No vegetarian option on hot display but told to wait for 20 mins if I wanted. Cereal limited. No croissant, no Danish pastries. No rye bread. Etc The continental bread option is made up of sliced bread for toasting.

We go occasionally because you can count on the food being good. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
