Sorry but ambiance and curb appeal are important. Quite important. We didn't make it beyond the street. Didn't even park.

The idea of Constitution Yards is such a welcome addition to Wilmingtonâs entertainment landscape, but I can not get past some of its inherent flaws to go out of my way for it. The location is great. Situated on a former brownfield, and nestled among several shiny new high-rise buildings, CY is walking distance for the many residents of Wilmingtonâs hottest neighborhood. Itâs also adjunct to many other riverfront destinations, like the Blue Rocks, Penn Cinema, or Kalmar Nyckel. Depending on what else is going on around here, parking can be a challenge, but spots can generally be found within a couple blocks. The things I like, besides the view, are a decent selection of microbrews, occasional good pub grub, and a fun atmosphere. The biggest thing I wish could improve is service, or should I say lack thereof. I donât know whether CY simply underestimates how much staff is needed for this operation, or if they are not efficient, but Iâve encountered unduly long lines at the bar every time Iâve been. Ditto for the food. While dusk is a beautiful time to be on the river, itâs also a challenge to find shade here. I get the âpop-upâ nature of the place, but how about some umbrellas or canopies, especially in high summer? If itâs raining or just following a rain, bring your Wellies or prepare to have wet feet. Because weâre on a floodplain, key word being flood, the 25 or so yard walk from the street to the entrance is usually submerged. That said, Iâm looking forward to returning in the winter when the skating rink is in place, and have high hopes they can work out some of the issues in the warm months.

Ernest & Scott Taproom is located at the corner of 9th and Market Streets in the center of Downtown Wilmington within the former Delaware Trust Building. The interior is open and spacious while remaining warm and inviting featuring exposed brick columns,
Food is ok, beers are well chosen, open wines are good and fairly priced, music is exhilarating. Very friendly welcome and consistently attentive and fun servers (Sherry stands out.....cool tattoos, Sherry!). Crowd is welcoming and not 'tribal', outsiders accepted. Really cool atmosphere - you forgive so so Colombian inspired food. Edgy for Wilmington. Appealing selection of cigars (though no Cubans, of course.....). As a hint - develop an acceptable desert menu - you're missing a trick!

We dined as two couples on Saturday evening. The restaurant only had two or three tables occupied. The servers were very friendly and quick. However, the food was fair, at best. Two of us had the Impossible (Vegan) Meatloaf. Both people thought it was pretty bad and had a funky taste. Two had steak (one had Filet Mignon and one had a Steak Salad). The steaks were good. The French Onion Soup and Acorn Squash appetizers were good, but the Thai Peanut Soup was too spicy. The wines were very good. The prices are definitely overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. There was also a mistake on one couple's bill-charged for two of the same item which was quickly corrected. Based on the almost empty restaurant on a Saturday evening, I guess we are not the only dissatisfied customers. This was our first and last visit. Hello BernaM521, Thank you for your feedback, as it allows us to constantly improve. Although we are a steakhouse, we try to incorporate options for our vegan and vegetarian guests each seasonal change. The Impossible Meatloaf has been one of our best sellers thus far, so I am surprised and sorry that yours was not enjoyable. I will certainly express your concerns to the Chef. Our front of the house managers believe it's important to correct check mistakes in a timely manner due to our location; we are surrounded by several entertainment spots that guests typically head to after dining with us!I was actually the manager on duty this evening and recall asking your table how your experience was. You informed me about the price adjustment that needed to be made, but not the rest. I wish it was my brought to my attention because I never want guests leaving unhappy. I do hope you visit us again for a better experience! Kind regards, Yassmin

Had an excellent meal yesterday. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the oysters. He then had an order of really nice sized tasty shrimp. I had the lobster roll and canât wait to have it again. Our server, Michele was awesome. She knew her menu inside out and was very helpful in answering our questions. It was our first visit. It will not be our last. My husband had the Guinness and I enjoyed the Red Zin. We will definitely be returning and soon.

Pre-theater matinee brunch with my wife. Friendly and attentive service (water glasses were continually replenished). However, our food experience was a bit "off": My wife is allergic to red/green peppers, made this known to our server who graciously agreed to switch out the pepper-jack cheese in the breakfast nachos. Plate was delivered with a "no peppers" pronouncement by the man who delivered it (so, clearly the request made it through to the kitchen)........except the home fries that permeate the entree are loaded with red peppers. She had to carefully pick her way through her meal to eat pieces of what she could identify. I ordered the "crisp" Pork Belly Eggs Benedict. The pork belly was not crisp, the poached egg was very overdone and this, in combination with the scarcity of hollandaise sauce, made the dish very, very dry.

Ordered 2 pizzas, wings and salad at 5:45 on Saturday night and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Had I seen how busy the interior of the restaurant was, I would have scoffed in disbelief. When I arrived shortly after 6pm, every table was full and there had to be 20-30 people waiting for tables. I went up to take out and to my surprise it was ready and waiting for me. Wouldnât hesitate to order again and would suggest takeout as a viable option even in the busiest of times.

After touring Winterthur, we enjoyed dinner at Buckley's.... a bit of charm, character and a very comfortable place. Nice bar with seating in that area, as well as another dining room area... also some outdoor seating. Nice menu and lots of choices. Our group dined on mushroom soup, ceasar salad, curry chicken salad, and a crab melt. The menu offered everything from soups, appetizers and salads to sandwiches and entrees. Service was good.

We recently visited the Riverfront and stopped into Iron Hill for lunch with our grand-daughter. We were seated upstairs where we had a great view of the river. We placed our orders and relaxed. I ordered the Iron Hill Chicken Wings. They were tasty and filling. Haley was our server and she did a great job.
