Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch, we were able to catch the golf Open and Tigers game on the TVs.The tavern has plenty of seating from booths, tables and high tops. The service was quick and the servers were friendly.Menu offers many choices from typical bar food to complete dinners. Appetizers include hummus to fried pickles. We ordered the hummus appetizer and a Tavern burger, and both were delicious.Bud Lite and Miller Lite were $2.00 thatâs a great price! The tavern offers a large selection of beer, wine and liquor. The tavern offers specials throughout the week. If youâre in South Lyon itâs a great place to go!

Delicious food for friends, family, and banquets. The South Lyon Hotel, as it has been known for decades, was built in the Village in 1867. For nearly 150 years it served the community first as a hotel, then more recently as dining & entertainment establi
The South Lyon Hotel has been rebuilt after the fire. There are two levels - each with outdoor dining and its own bar. The menu is fairly varied and prices are reasonable. Its a great place for a family to eat. The only negative is that it seems to take longer than necessary to get the food to the table after ordering. I'm not sure whether the kitchen is understaffed of what. I passed it off as no big deal the first time, but it has been repeated in the three subsequent visits.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening on the veranda. Gorgeous view of the course (10th tee) which rivals anything Up North. The fish was excellent (I especially enjoyed the Whitefish) and some nice craft beers on tap. The wine was quite nice too. Service was exceptional (thank you Brooke). An overall solid value and great time.

Brighton Bar and Grill is an American Bistro located in the heart of beautiful downtown Brighton, Michigan. Our mission is to provide a family dining experience that features high quality food, professional friendly service and a warm, comfortable, family
This place is great except for the irrepressible, ignorant, self centered people that leave their phone on waiting for that critical call from the trauma center so they can rush to the hospital to conduct the surgery. Shut your phone off before you enter ANY restaurant. It is what responsible people do!P. S. Donât get the carrot cake, save it all for me!!!Go here!!

I unfortunately cannot remember her name (older blondâish woman, very kind..has a son in the military)....I wanted to say a big thank you to our lunch waitress last week while we were out with my Grandma. She was so accommodating, attentive, & patient with my 81-year old grandma. She made our lunch fantastic with her positive attitude and kindness. We always stop in when my husband and I are in town being that my grandma has lived across the lake for the last 40-years. Thank you!

This pub has had a few ups and downs over the years but is back on track. Two recent visits were very good experiences. Great, creative soups full of flavor. Juicy burgers. Yummy wet burrito, and many other items. Fun pub atmosphere, even though it can get a little on the loud side. Lots of TV's so you can watch your favorite games. Good attentive service.

Looking for a comfortable and casual place to kickback, relax and enjoy a cold drink and get something other than your typical "bar food"? Well look no further than Bobber Down. We pride ourselves on offering a little something for everyone: great food, c
Used to have the best clam chowder, now it's ham chowder with an orange tint. Drink prices have gone WAY up. Over a three month period going Fridays nights for the fish fry, something has changed. Two meals and two drinks, $74. Chrissy, where did you go?

Captain Joe's is easily accessible off US 23 in Whitmore Lake, and is a decent sports bar and family restaurant. It is unpretentious but we found the food to be generally good - enough so that we'll be back to try more of the menu. It has a separate lounge where they have live music on weekends, and even the main dining room is surrounded by TVs showing sporting events, but at least on our visit on a Sunday evening it was not too noisy or crowded. We both had their French onion soup as a starter, which was very good and hit the spot on a cold winter's evening, and then seafood (breaded shrimp and crab-stuffed flounder) which was good as well. They also have a variety of steak entrees which we'll have to sample on another visit.Service was friendly and the wine and beer list better than you might expect. The only hiccup was when they served a Spanish rioja red wine instead of the ordered tempranillo, but it was good so we didn't make an issue of it.
