Apprehensive at first to eat here, but worked out really well. Service was swift, orders were perfect. Atmosphere was pleasant along with décor which was very crisp and trendy.Food was excellent. Good portion size, seasoning and spices better than next door! Will have to try one of those jam jar cocktails next time.
Ate hear on Sunday as a family group of ten and we didn't know what to expect. But it was much better than expected, we got starters of pate, salmon and soup and all were really good. The Sunday roasts we all got were excellent value and really tasty with loads of veg. We also found room for deserts of ice creams, apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding, and they were all lush. However the sticky toffee pudding could have been bigger. The service was excellent from the woman in charge and we will be returning to try the Mexican night.Great news! I hope you made it back for Mexican Night. Thank you for your review.

Created in September 2018, Dave & Louise spent 2 months renovating the building, stripping it back to reveal the original stone walls and original flooring, with the aim to create a charming and relaxing retreat in the heart of Whitehavenâs Market Place. I
Cool bar with a wonderful choice of unusual draught and bottled beers. An extensive range of Gins (of course) and cocktails. Thereâs also a good choice of spirits, so if gin isnât your thing thereâs plenty to choose from. Food platters of charcuterie and cheese and nachos are to die for. Relax after your food playing a board game with your friends. Well recommended.Hi,many thanks for your lovely review, itâs greatly appreciated. Well you said it all...it's a great place to relax and chat and drink and eat and play board games... Make sure you come back soon!Regards, Louise & Dave

Had a family meal and sat in a large round sofa and a couple of chairs. Drinks were good with a full selection and a good pint if John Smiths! As for the food it was very good with two having steaks which looked very appetising along with onion rings etc. I had the steak & ale pie which was good and had a lot of steak and ale gravy. Others had salmon, scampi and stir fry and all plates were clean! I have had better chips but they were acceptable. As for puddings the sticky toffee pudding was delicious and the ice creams went down well. All in all a very good meal with good service by young waitresses.

On our way from Whitehaven town centre to the premier inn where we were staying we came across the sunny hill pub, we called in to see what it was like, it was a very cosy clean, the staff are very cheerful friendly and helpful we both had roast beef dinner each, the food was hot and very tasty and at a good price, I would recommend this pub to anyone who happens to be in the area and fancies a meal, the beer is also reasonably priced. Thankyou for taking time to review your visit , i'm glad you all enjoyed it .

Just off the harbour Near Duncan Square
Every dish we ate was excellent. Menu is far more than typical pub food. A bouillabaisse that could grace a high-end restaurant, at a price that suggests the ingredients came ashore on the boats you can see through the window. Fine selection of craft beers. Hope the owners donât read this but their prices donât begin to reflect the quality of the cuisine. Worth coming to Whitehaven just for this.
