Find out what Bar restaurants to try in West Yellowstone. Since the early 1900s, West Yellowstone has provided a tourist-friendly gateway to the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and its resident bison, bears and elk. This Rocky Mountain enclave in southwestern Montana is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dog sledding in winter; trout fishing in fall; birding, biking and hiking in spring; and summer parades and rodeos. In-town eateries and attractions are an easy stroll from local lodging.

A small group of us stopped in for a drink and appetizers one afternoon. Just like the title it was noisy inside, not a huge surprise. There was only one waitress for the whole place with a large group just seated and ordering dinner. We were lucky to get our drinks but never had a chance to order food we ran out of time after waiting for an hour. She apologized and said the kitchen was overwhelmed and that it would be quite a while before she could take our order. With that much business they need a second waitress. I might give it a second chance next summer.

Westward expansion brought rail travel and ranches to the Continental Divide, where cowboys (and today’s national park visitors) could live the dream of a horizon-free lifestyle. Inspired by the natural beauty of Yellowstone, the Branch Restaurant celebra

Over priced, and very very small portions! What a waste, my husband got Chicken Fried Chicken... HA, looked like a kids meal! My burger and fries were bigger than his plate! Oh, DON’T ask for medium on those meats... they can ONLY do well ok? DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Plenty of other restaurants to choose from, even Mc Donald’s would have been better. The best part of dinner...... the free ice-cream in the hotel lobby for guests, since we are staying there! Hello Resort827149, We appreciate you sharing this feedback. We sincerely apologize for the poor experience you had during your meal. I have made note of all your comments and will address them with our management team in order to make immediate improvements. We wish you safe travels and hope you can give us another chance in the future. Best, Emily S.

Went here for dinner tonight after a day Yellowstone Park. I had an amber ale to start dinner. We both had the creamy chicken soup with wild rice. It was excellent. We both had the ground round steak and mashed potatoes...and they were real mashed potatoes. Also came with green beans and a piece of cornbread. Good comfort food for after a day in the park looking at deer, bison, a fox and a wolf. Service was good and quite fast for the meal to come out.

We had a party of 8 - all family with two kids, 5 and 3. We were seated in the bar/casino which was a little weird but we were hungry. The food was good but there were several drawbacks - the lighting made it hard to see the menus. We had to use the flashlights on our phones. The prices are high but it's West Yellowstone and that's how it is - it's a tourist town so you're going to pay more. The thing I disliked the most was that the waiter brought our food at two different times. The three of us who ordered soup as our main meal got served at least 25 minutes before the others were served. Waiting to eat with the rest of our family meant our food would be cold so we ate and then sat while the others ate their food. Not cool. A waiter should know to serve ALL the diners at the same time. Or at least serve the kids first - they waited 25 minutes for their mac and cheese. I fed them tastes of my soup so they wouldn't have to wait.We will choose a different restaurant next time we are in town. You are correct, if the server has been informed that the soup is your meal, it should have been brought out at the same time as the other meals. We’ll do a little re-education to the staff on this! Thanks for letting us know.

We had dinner here after a long day of driving. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered a Black Angus Burger and their Monday Meatloaf Special as well as small pub salads. I liked that the cherry tomatoes were cut in half making them easier to spear. I had their Greek Feta Vinegrette dressing as they did not have an Italian dressing. It was excellent. My husband had Thousand Island and I can’t speak to that. He said his burger was delicious and it appeared to be quite juicy as he needed additional napkins. My meatloaf was very flavorful except the ketchup topping was a bit sweeter than I would have liked. Beware that they served a mammoth piece which could easily feed two. Our French fries were delicious—crisp without being over done. Our waitress was really sweet and helpful but appeared to be stretched thin with many tables. But she was still attentive. I was surprised to read many reviews stating that the staff was rude. That was not our experience at all. We spent $41.00 for the two of us plus a tip so we were pushing $50 altogether. I only had water and my husband had ice tea (which she refilled without asking). We did not order any alcoholic beverages. We arrived about 5:30 and were seated right away but people started coming in steadily about 15-20 minutes later. My one big criticism is that they do not have a “double door air lock”. Every time someone opened the door we got a blast of cold air — so try to sit in the back or further away from the door. I can’t imagine how cold that must be when winter really sets in!We would go there again (and probably will tomorrow) but I’d order something a little smaller than the meatloaf!

Mixed feelings about the Buffalo Bar. It’s very noisy and chaotic with darts, pool, bar, casino and dining tables all in same area. The food, pot roast with mashed redskin potatoes and spaghetti pie were very good and was reasonably priced. Would recommend for food but not if you want a relaxing quiet dinner
