In the reading area for Family vacation and wife and I try to select a different place to eat each night. At the recommendation we came to coastal Grill. the place is nice and welcoming. Initial vibe is high $ but that not the case. The wife and I got the fish and chips and Jambalaya. Meal was good. The Jambalaya had alot of pasta, wish the other pieces of the makeup were larger. Wife said the fish and chips has too much breading. Side note about tv star. the wife looked up and said I've seen this man before. Turns out it was Michael Constantine. We did not interrupt his meal. was just kind of neat.ronaldbyram, thanks for the wonderful review! So glad to hear that you gave us a try and that we didn't disappoint. Expect things to be great each & every time you walk through our doors. It's pretty cool when we have celebrities at any of our locations and we thank you so much for not interrupting his meal. We hope to see you again next time you are in town. Sincerely, Pete DiCarlo. Director of Operations/Owner.

Older establishment, but great quality food and huge portions. Daily special was amazing - but service staff is turtle slow and not responsive to fill drinks.

Located in the middle of a residential area, we have know about 3rd & Spruce for years but for some reason never seemed to get here. There are 3 entrances, a nice oval bar, a little outdoor seating in season and what looks to be a 2nd level upstairs. Due to the unique location, they have a heavy local flavor, and a nice menu and selection of beer. The ultimate salad with chicken and the crab bacon sandwich with fries were both pretty good. The crab cake wasn't exactly jumbo lump, but it wasn't bad for being this far from Baltimore and the bacon taste with the crab was great, something I had never thought of trying. Fries were good as well as the service and we would certainly return the next time we are in town. Nice comfortable atmosphere.

We had attended the hockey game, and ate here afterwards. Not a huge selection, and not much if you don't want food fried. Most people were having wings (in large quantities, it looked like). I had a hamburger with fries. (So did friend--which he loved). My hamburger was really good. The fries were like cardboard--not much flavor. Beer was cold and fresh. Though busy, the table service was good. A little pricey, but it's attached to the Doubletree Suite Hotels, so I expected it to be a $15 hamburger.

Normally I would give them a 4. Salmon is good. Reuben is good. Today I tried something different and I could not believe it. I had many black bean burgers before and this was something else. It was black beans with a binder- could not tell you what. It was disgusting!!! How can you call it a burger. Itâs black beans without any taste on a bun. Never again!!

If you're looking for a variety of beer and good food, this is the place to go! our waitress was super friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was very good and price was right. They have something for everyone!! Kids loved the cinnamon pretzels served with maple syrup. Wings were awesome with lots of different flavors to choose from. There's also a 6 pack shop with a variety of beer to choose from. Thanks for coming!

Welcome to Winedown Cafe, Berks County's premiere destination for people who love wine, cheese and great gourmet snacks. We serve real wines & cheeses crafted by passionate people. We seek out the best products from around the world. Our ever-changing win
Recently my husband and I had dinner at Winedown Cafe and Wine Bar. Both of us were pleased with the food. I was a bit disappointed in my Sticky Toffee Cake, but can't complain as it's made so differently in different places. We would go there again if in the area.I believe i remember we discussed the toffee pudding cake. I am glad you liked most everything but our sticky toffee fell just short... Thank you just the same for trying us and we hope you return.ThanksBen

Small place but comfy when we were seated. Our service was very slow. Like slow motion. There was no sense of hospitality that we could feel. Our food was good when it finally arrived, but it was definitely not hot. That must have been part of why it took a long time. Then the dreaded wait for the check. The value would be fair if the other things fell into place.

Featured on the Travel Channel, this classic Reading landmark has been serving up plenty of fun and peanuts since 1924. Great American cuisine ranging from casual to gourmet. Voted "the Best in Berks" in numerous categories. Chosen 1 of USA TODAY's Top 10
We ate here Saturday night for Mother's Day. Our grandchildren love it since you can throw the peanut shells on the floor. This place has been around for 95 years. The food is always good. I never had anyone eat here and complained about the food. Great people that work there as well. I would always recommend this place.

At Chatty Monks Brewing Company, our story is quite simple. Our business was born out of five friends with one thing in common: the need to make exceptional craft beer. Named as one of the Top 50 brewpubs nationwide and Top 10 in the Northeast by CraftBee
My partner and I shared two beer flights, so we were able to try most of what was on tap. Everything we tried was very good, either an interesting, distinct flavor profile or a strong take on a particular style. My favorites were the Double Race Against Time (milkshake IPA), which had a great texture and pleasant citrus flavor, and the The Morning Pint (American amber/red), which had a wonderful hoppy/grassy finish. The food was also quite good! We split the fish and chips and and order of Sriacha ranch wings, both very good. I'm always a bit wary of ordering fish and chips on the east coast, it seems to be very hit or miss in terms of quality, but the fish and chips at Chatty Monks are a definite hit--great flavor and texture on the breading, and the fish itself was incredibly tender and moist. Everything we saw other tables ordering also looked great, definitely worth checking out.
