We had a Groove Burger and a Steakhouse Burger. Both the burgers were good, but not as good as I hoped for. The onion rings were only average and too salty. The drinks, a margarita and a beer, are priced very inexpensively compared to other similar establishments. The restaurant was VERY loud. Kennedy was an excellent server. Just disappointed in the food -- not bad, but nothing I want to go back for.

Ate here twice in one week. Got the Hawaiian chicken (itâs named something else in menu), and it is so good with baked potato and sweet tea.....yummy. You must order a basket of their honey/butter croissants.Highly recommend trying this place if your in the Athens area. Menu has a large variety for everyone.

Had the Cajun shrimp, sausage and chicken pasta. Excellent dish! Waitress was very good and attentive. Clean and of good atmosphere. However, we went on a Friday night and was told the wait was 30 minutes even though I counted 6 empty tables. The hostesses were more concerned about their gossip than helping seat the guests. After 45 minutes, I went up to the hostesses and told them that we would like to know why people were being seated that came after us. They looked on their list, and with wide eyes, realized that the message to my phone hadn't been sent or something....10 minutes earlier!

First impression is always lasting! And itâs not good. One hour wait but lots of empty tables?? One bartender who basically ignores you if you at the end of bar. Not impressed. Open for lunch Monday - Saturday and dinner daily; our bar also remains open for coffee and tapas during the day 2:30 - 5pm. The idea behind The National is simple: to provide a casual neighborhood gathering spot reminiscent of the bars and cafés weâve en
We recently met friends for dinner at The National. First, could hardly find the place as the signage is extremely small for a restaurant. Our group of seven took up nearly a quarter of the small dining room. The menu is small, about 6 choices for each of the tapas, appetizer and entree categories. Our food was tasty but portions are small. If you are looking for different, this would be the place. Not so much for intimate conversation as it is loud. Our apologies for the difficulty in finding our restaurant! Unfortunately, signage size was limited in the renovation of our historic Recap Plant building. If you keep your eyes open for the Ciné, the arthouse cinema that shares our building, and our signature neon blue lights, you can't miss us!

Our waitress was THE BEST!!! She made the experience a wonderful one! The food here is always terrific and thank goodness, the wait is never a problem. I would recommend everything, especially the vegetable plate. Itâs a great deal and DELICIOUS! The salads are wonderful. The shrimp appetizer is perfect. This will be a frequent stop for our family. We flew in to Atlanta today, drove to Athens to visit our daughter and got here in time for a late dinner. Great beer selection, delicious pub food, great service and reasonable prices. Shepherds pie, Lamb Curry, Lamb Burger, Toffee sticky pudding, Bread puddingâall so good. A great way to end the first day of our visit.

We were in Athens shopping and stopped in here as a recommendation from a friend. The deep fried bacon brussel sprouts were quite the change from the normal stove top, but quite tasty. The takedown tacos with tuna were exceptional as was the burger and mcrib. Décor is simple with light coming from a bulb in a mason jar. An extensive beverage list and many choices on the menu make for a good dining experience.

We have visited the Pub on Main multiple times now for their lunch menu, and it is always excellent! The food is fresh and creative. Their salads are wonderful and dressings made in house. Excellent option for a quick and high quality lunch for a reasonable price!

We visited for lunch after church. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at noon, but it filled quickly. We were seated immediately and our drinks were provided. Food took a little while to prepare, but we were provided some cheese covered potato chips to enjoy while waiting. The server was very attentive checking our drinks and the progress of our meal. The crabcake was large and tasty. The grilled pimento cheese, bacon and green tomato sandwich was also interesting although the pimento cheese was almost too spicy to enjoy. I probably won't order it again, but there are many other interesting items on the menu. We had not been to Chops for more than a year. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. We will go back again soon.
