Shame the drink quality doesnât match that of the food quality.Wish they would branch out & change the real ales to something worth drinking instead of the normal pub-co options, which are nothing special.Another new menu in here from my last visit to eat.The choices are lovely, as are the milkshakes too. Be aware food wait can be an hour, so allow time in your visit.

We believe bringing good things together makes them even better, from fish and chips or brownies and ice cream to a cheeky gin and tonic. Along with freshly prepared dishes and delicious drinks, we offer a friendly service and great value. Cookhouse + Pub
With not knowing the area and arriving early to pick friends up from Arena Birmingham looked for somewhere to eat ,someone said The Red Lion but as I couldn't find the turning off the carriageway stumbled across The Queen Inn attached to a Premier Inn ,Car Park was easily accessible the outside of the building and grounds were very tidy and looking in the place had a very tidy and attractive look too it ,You get the option of using the Restaurant & getting table service or using the bar side .I decided on the latter as plenty of spaces to sit and was relatively quiet ...You have to enter your Number plate of your car at the bar ,I wasn't told this on arrival I suppose the staff assumed I knew the procedure ..... I decided to order off the Menu An All Day Breakfast & a cup of black coffee ,my coffee arrived straight away in a large Costa Cup but my food took a lot longer around a 20 minute wait for my food to arrive at my table ( it did look quite busy in the restaurant side I did hear several people singing Happy Birthday to someone in their party) The Food arrived and 3 large half slices of toast with one knob of butter on top ,surprisingly it managed to spread all three pieces ,usual suspects on a breakfast menu tomato, beans hash browns x2 bacon x 2 Mushrooms & 2 eggs and 2 sausages ,The Toast perhaps could have been toasted a bit more ,it was barely toasted and was more bread like than toast ,everything on the plate was cooked perfectly except the sausages which leaves me with an average review ....The first sausage was slightly burned on the outside and though both ends were tough it was edible ,the second sausage however was horrendous cutting into it physically made my plate move in the end half of it was impossible to cut ,it felt like a left over breakfast re cook and if i am honest it was that hard I am sure it could have broken the windows if it was thrown ,If I had tried the sausages first I would have rightly complained but coupled with the 20 minute wait and the time I had left to pick my friends up it was luckily I didn't ....As I prepared to leave the place was starting to fill up so looks like a popular venue ,maybe I just had the luck of the draw when it came to those sausages ,was a disappointment to what would have been a lovely meal and experience overall with polite somewhat busy staff !

A fine example of the hungry horse chain, located next to the light cinema with plenty of private parking available . We serve a variety of meals and desserts to a high standard, with excellent service. Great for large parties as well as small. Coming soo
We were early to watch âjokerâ so we thought weâd have a pint in here instead of waiting, I wish weâd of just waited, my wife had a large glass of dry white, she liked it, but you could write âwhite wineâ on a bottle of ammonia and sheâd drink it, I had a pint of Stella Artois, letâs just say this, the staff were nice people, but I didnât go to speak to staff , the beer is the worst Iâve tried for a long time, donât bother!.I'm sorry we've not been able to meet your expectations on this occasions, but please do give us a try again as this is not our usual standard

We went to the Old Wyrley Hall today for a carvery after having such a lovely meal there on Motherâs Day. Both times the food was excellent! The kids plates were empty and they wanted seconds which had never happened when weâve been anywhere else before! We would recommend there to anyone and will definitely be back!

Family restaurant, serving fresh home cooked food to order, catering and function room hire for all occasions.
This was a special year for us - birthdays covering 90, 60 and 16 and a 30th wedding anniversary - so we decided to have one big party. From the start of the process to the end of the party, the staff at Churchillâs were friendly, helpful and patient with us. The decorations in the room were lovely and the food, both hot and cold, was plentiful and delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening and I wouldnât hesitate to use this venue again.

Really hungry after work, decided to walk into town and get something to eat, the pub was empty, asked for a table and the bar staff informed us they were fully booked. Gutted, we just ordered a drink, sat for around an hour and the pub was still dead, will never go again.

Never get bored or tired of popping in here. Had a nice copper ale: Tumbling Jack (see photo). The owners are rather generous with their lovely displays of Oriental Lilies. Some nice artefacts on the walls, (again see photos). My only regret is that I only had time for a half Oh...then you must come back soon! Thank you.
