During the last decades Saalbach-Hinterglemm has established itself as one of the most popular ski resorts in the Alps. As we know skiing and apres-ski belong together. The best place in the Glemmtal is the Hinterhag Alm!The Hinterhag Alm is located direc
Oh my god i wished an experience of apres ski to my family to the sky but what a joke i must admit, I am sad to say - but the band including some guest mexican just killed every earlier days of greatness and the owner lady trying to participate on the scene made it even worse. The waiters are all from outside of Austria - that Can be great fun if the attitude from them is for a party with the guests - but very few In the staff looked as they were proud of what was going on.... sad story about from and how the owner and her husbond started this party hut Way is off course always heart Breaking - but please, dear owner - get some help or i am pretty sure you business will bleed soon, I wish you all the best really - we Can all get off track and please listen to Those who dare to tell you â¤ï¸

Just a few metres from the centre of Saalbach and right next to the valley station of the Bernkogelbahn. And ideal spot for a ski-break, Après Ski and dinner in the evening. In the "Soul House" we just love good music. In the afternoon we are celebrating
Had a great lunch followed by a few beers and the some live music. Itâs a good place but maybe lacks a bit of staff cohesion between the various areas. Food is very good but maybe needs just a little bit of visible management. Dear John, thank you very much for your feedback to your visit at Soul House. We take your feedback really serious and will work on the staff / management situation.Would be a pleasure for us to have you back with us soon again. All the best, your Soul House Crew

Excellent food and friendly staff make this a great pit stop... happy hour is a must 3.30-4.30 with a fun atmosphere everyday and was our last pit stop before heading back down the mountain most days.

After three meals here and three visits to the bars (successive days meeting ski parties here)... it is possible to find a decent meal. There are some modestly dull curries and potato fry ups that are quite well prepared with fresh vegetables. The same dishes that took 30 minutes one day, took 60 minutes another day and 10 minutes a third day, so good luck planning on fitting lunch in.The staff are consistently rude across the board. This includes the wait staff at the bar outside, the bar inside, the restaurant inside, and the restaurant upstairs. I wasn't impressed with the bartenders hygene either. Meanwhile, the DJ outside is extremely obnoxious, and the place tries to avoid taking credit cards (it seems all the Alms in Schmitten do) likely to declare less sales (jokes the DJ himself). In practice they take cards for over Euro35 expenditure.Views are great. But it's a scammers place seeking to separate you from your money.

This is a must go too âbucket listâ venue for dinner. Yes, the apres ski party is lively early evening but the management close the Restaurant from 6pm and make it nice and cosy for dinner at 7:30 and wow what a dinner experience. Book early.

Nur in der Wintersaison geöffnet. Only open in Wintersaison. Restaurant auf der Skipiste. Restaurant on the slopes. Only with skies. Not with car. Nur per Ski erreichbar, nicht mit dem Auto.
This is a great place to stop off on the way back down to Saalbach before you get to town. It is right on the side of the piste, marked by flags on the right hand side. It is a sunny spot. We had gluhwein which was a bit too clovy for my taste but was improved by sugar. Lots of seats inside and out and staff are very friendly.

Cosy and Family friendly restaurant in the centre of the town with a beautiful view over the lake. Classic and modern food in a lovely mix. Great terrace for the summer and in winter a fantastic apres-ski spot. Open from 10am - 12pm and kitchen open from
We decided based on previous reviews to have an early afternoon dinner here. We entered their outdoor terrace and a waiter said to pick a table among the many open tables. We sat for five minutes barely gaining anyones attention and then a waiter came and asked if we were ready to order and we ordered a drink and asked if we could have menues. She returned and threw them on the table and then returned five minutes later with our beer and wine. The lack of customer service attitude told us to take our business elsewhere and we couldn't leave there fast enough. If I could have given a zero rating I would have.First of all there no indoor terraces, and yes a pity you couldn t give a zero rating, and i think it s a pity that we unfortunately not can judge the behaviour from certain guests like you.Wish you a nice eveningSven Lindgren

The original hut "Asitzhutte" was built in 1930, when the region at the Asitz was used for skitouring. After the construction of the first cable car in the 1970's, the hut became a ski restaurant. In the year 2010, the Altenberger family purchased the hut
All ski-mountain huts in Austria and Germany seem to be similar - same sort of menu full of high-calorie ski-fuel, good friendly, quick & efficient service, immaculately clean including the toilets. Really - they're all fantastic. This one is a little bit special even then - a little bigger, better food, and beautiful slightly quirky fit-out (down to the gents toilets looking out on the ski slope - I hope it's one-way glass!).It was a bit more expensive than I expected though.

Welcome to the cozy mountain inn "Hecherhutte" in the beautiful village Viehofen. Our mountain inn is located at an altitude of 1250m. Enjoy our local specialties on the sunny terrace. A relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful view promises an unforgettable d
We two septuagenarians spent three hours walking up the Hecherberg - really hard - but the Hecherhuette appeared like an angel with the most refreshing beer and wonderfully warm welcome. But the local steak ('Hechersteak') was to die for! We've not had better - even in Argentina! We returned (by car) for our last - equally wonderful - meal in Austria. Our thanks to Luke from Wales who was a delightful host and to Jamila who runs a truly special establishment.
