It had been two decades since we had visited this once bustling, popular dining spot. It had a good reputation - just not the food we preferred. We stopped there recently after church. We were the only people in the restaurant until another couple entered the dining area about fifteen minutes later. The decor looked bland and tired. The server was kind and attentive. The food was unappealing. The two (yes, two) chicken strips were greasy. The tilapia was tasteless. The sides were bland. We wonât be back. As we left, we realized that the glory days are in the rear view mirror for the Original Rib House.

Sat at the bar and had 10 wings and a side salad for lunch. Both were freshly prepared and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. My only complaint is that the smallest number of wings you can order is 10, which is a lot for 1 person. Wish you could just order 5.

Hubby and I came here for lunch on a Monday. Its fairly nice clean bar with fair amount of seating. The menu was typical bar food with a decent selection. Ordered lemon with my water, the lemon was rotton, horrible looking. We ordered pretzels with homemade beer cheese. Price was good. Pretzels.. taste just like the frozen pretzel sticks I get at Meijers. Cheese wasnt bad but I wouldnt get again. Got wings 12 for $10.99. Wing night is Tuesdays. Wings were crispy which was great but only tasted like fried chicken. Had no flavor (sauce was mild) also would not get again. Only thing we really liked were the freshcut fries, though pricey for the portion. After we got the check we put our card with it at end of table, figuring our waitress would grab it. She just kept walking by. Finially I motioned to her and she had quite an attitude about it.. we supposed to pay some other way? It was our first time and she never told us to pay elsewhere. Other then that, service was alright. Its definitely a locals bar, lots of older guys came in and were known by name and order. We unfortunately were not impressed and will not return as there are much better choices around. We are sorry to hear of your bad experience, We have looked into the issues you mentioned & would like to invite you back in for a Much Better Experience.ThanksThe Management at Oscar's Bar & Grill

Went to lunch at Rayâs Wine Spirits Grill while visiting our daughter and her family in Englewood. What a great little find! Half wine store/cigars (and other beverages)and the other half is their restaurant with a bar. Thereâs also an outside patio. Menu consists of salads, soups, sandwiches and entrees. I had the Cuban sandwich which was full of pork, ham and cheese. The pork was very tender and tasty. Lots of organic produce/locally sourced. Once a month they have a cigar night and also have a local brewery âtake overâ. Sorry we missed it, it sounds like fun. Good food and good service. We will be back.

This was our first trip to The Hairless Hare Brewery. It is becoming difficult to keep up with all of the breweries opening up in the Dayton area - but we try! We went for dinner as well as brews. Pizza is the main thing on the menu plus some appetizers, a couple of sandwiches and soup the night we were there. The 2 vegetarians split an order of soft pretzels with beer cheese dip, which was good but they could kick it up a notch with fresh pretzels from Smales instead of frozen, and the pesto/ sun dried tomato pizza. Nice crust and yummy toppings. Carnivore ordered the BBQ smoked brisket sandwich and a cup of the beef vegie soup. He was quite happy with his selection. The brewery has several tables and one goes up to the bar to order food and drink. They have 12 taps pouring their own brews. I had the Batch 147 IPA - very nice if you are into hoppy beers. One of us had a flight of 4 beers - her favorite was the sour. The other drinker had 2 beers and also liked the sour best.It seemed like a friendly place - we enjoyed it!

Mostly average fare. Iâve had the same menu item three different times but never very consistent (i.e., pork loin sandwich). First time was absolutely delicious; but, never experienced that joy at first bite again.Weâve tried their Sunday brunch a couple of times...hoping the first time was a fluke (bland and greasy); however, we were dissatisfied with the tasteless breakfast entrees. Avoid the gravy!!Their portions are great for the cost of the meals. Always very noisy. From what I have seen and heard, many other patrons seem to enjoy and return often. If you like the âneighborhood barâ experience, you should try it at least once.
