Bryggeriet à ngkvarn is Uppsala's first brewpub with a history dating back to Uppsala's industrialisation. Our history involves both Uppsala Bavarian Brewery, which was formed in 1865 and Uppsala à ngqvarn (steam mill), which was formed in 1874. Apart from
Had a lovely evening here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere over all was great, it felt like a nice place to be. They make their own beer on site and we sampled quite a few! Very, very nice and really good knowledgeable staff to help you choose. One of the highlights of our visit to Uppsala. Thanks Ian. We are very pleased you enjoyed the staff, atmosphere and our own beer.

What I remember of my visit at Palermo is that the veranda was too crowded that we were barely able to breathe. Too much confusion. Beside that, they have a large selection of beer, but I opted for a glass of wine. Nothing special. It's not an expensive place.

Cozy, friendly Irish pub on the main plaza in the pedestrian zone in central Uppsala. Varied and interesting drink selections (including Hefeweizen on tap, along with the usual suspects such as Guinness and Jameson). Pub food is very good - specialties include burgers and BBQ ribs (both delectable!) as well as fish & chips and a special meat pie (flavor varies). Good service and nice, comfortable atmosphere - recommended!

Housed in the old station building right next to the tracks, the restaurant is lively and spacious too. Enjoyed some fresh oysters and very nice steak and chips here. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service was fast and efficient. It was a cool June day when we visited and so we sat inside however there is ample outside seating too in the main station square.

Uppsala is buzzing under the September sunshine, it's " Kulturnatten" and the town will lively util the small hours. Sitting in the Churchill Arms enjoying a few beers in a very nice designer and has a very Scottish Irish English mix. By this I mean dark wood, leather, plaid wallpaper, books and pictures. Relaxed yes, intimate yes, friendly yes. Cheers!

Sherlock's Uppsala - the smallest pub with the biggest heart. Great food in a homey atmosphere. Served by care and love. Big selection of beers on tap and bottles. Always 3 guest-taps and of course our own beers on tap as: Sherlock´s pale ale from local b
A decent grade is salvaged by a fine fish ânâ chips and luxurious homemade crisps, the latter being a somewhat strange first course but a delight for the kids. On the downside I found the menu very oddly put together. There were three curries described as mild, aromatic and very strong, but the âaromaticâ one turned out to be strong if not very strong too. This was not a pleasant surprise. Furthermore I found the menu curtailed by the Indian spice element. Eg. you had to get through the âvery strongâ obstacle to gain access to the slow cooked lamb and LCHF customers had to make it past the âaromaticâ business, as far as I can remember. Add to this a poor wine list where a sweet riesling is a sorely missed no-brainer to off-set the spice orgy, and the three points are barely justified.
