A large birthday meal with 29 guests. All the food was served mostly together and with no complaints. Curry and the sirloin steak were excellent and superb value for money. Top place highly recommended.

I have been coming to this pub for years for all occasions. meals with my partner, solo food, birthday meals and it has never failed to dispoint. The Sunday dinner is a must and the Thursday night tapas is excellent. The regular menu also does not dispoint with the steak and the chicken being my personal favourite's.The quality of the food is on par with the quality of the staff. You will not find better hospitality and Claudio and his team will make you feel at home.
Recommended to eat here by the B&B we were staying in locally. So good, we came back the second night! Light, spacious dining room. Reasonable variety of dishes on the menu. But proper cooked-in-the-kitchen food. First night I had a steak and ale pie - I bet you've never seen a puff pastry top like this one (see photo)! Delicious. Real mashed potatoes too. Second night I went for the surf and turf and the steak was cooked to perfection and gristle free - fabulous. Portions generous, prices reasonable. Service? Excellent! Thanks to each of the waitresses, both evenings. Oh and special thanks to hard working Chef Alison who came out to see if everything was OK. Thank you all very much. We hope to drop by again someday.Thank you for the lovely review and next time your in the area and need accomidation please try one of our lovely onsuit rooms I promise you won't be disappointed Kind regards Nicky. An amazing Restaurant in this small village: visited last month and all six of us were delighted with our dinners. All individually cooked and to a good standard and really generous portions. I would have no concerns about recommending this pub to anybody. Really looking forward to my next visit.
