The wedding was held at a different view and we stayed at the Travelodge. However we enjoyed the hospitality of the Saracen. One evening meal and two hearty breakfasts. Very good value for money, hot food and drinks. The staff were excellent, friendly and could not do enough to make sure we were all looked after.Dear RamptonTinaThank you for a fantastic review. We are delighted that your wedding was a massive success. We are grateful that we could make your day so special.Come back soon.RegardsDavid RuckGeneral Manager

Our friendly pub and restaurant in the heart of Towcester in South Northamptonshire is open seven days a week, and is dedicated to providing our customers with great quality food and drink. When the sun is shining we have a wonderful beer garden for you t
We had a very tasty meal in this lovely English Pub in Towcester, UK. The service was quick, the food good and the price reasonable. There was a wide range of food on offer to suit most tastes. We went for the pub specials - fish and chips and beef stroganoff. The quantities were generous to the point where we did well to finish all our food. I would highly recommend this pub for its food and quick, friendly service

The Butchers Arms has recently been brought back to life after being rescued by a group of enthusiastic locals. Now owned by a consortium of local villagers and investors, it has been completely refurbished, extended and remodelled. The Butchers Arms now
Staff were pleasant enough but not very efficient. Forgot to put in order for my daughter's veggie-burger so it arrived at least 10 minutes after the rest of our meals. The price of it was deducted frim our bill, however. Two of us had the belly pork confit - the skin was flabby (not crispy as per the menu) & impossible to cut & the radiccio accompaniment was burnt & unpleasant-tasting. Chips were extra though served in a basket meant they went cold quickly. The children's burgers came in over-cooked bread-buns & the burgers themselves looked like lumps of mince quickly stuck together - impossible to put in a chid's mouth! My son-in-law enjoyed his steak, but at £26 plus an extra £4 for peppercorn sauce it should have been good!Staff were obliging serving the children's ice-creams in bowls with cornets as well, but after we got the bill no-one came for our money so we had to pay at the bar.I chose this pub because of the good TA reviews but wouldn't visit it again.Hello BobblenoseWarwicks,I am so very disheartened to read this review and to see that you did not enjoy your experience..This is completely unacceptable and something that we have proudly eliminated since launching the new Butchers Arms concept (as you can see from the reviews below)I would be very grateful if you could drop me an email to [email protected] with the date and rough time of your visit so that I can look into why/how your visit was not up to the high standards that we have been pushing so well since our new menu launch/conceptThank youJenniferRestaurant manager

When this place first opened the food was incredibly good and very well presented. Last night I and a group of friends had a pretty bad meal whatâs happened to the delicious scotch eggs, home made lamb koftaâs.... replaced by a series of breaded starters indistinguishable from one another an over cooked burger arrived with broiled bacon and chips served in a soup bowl. Pretty sad considering how good itâs been in the past.

A friendly traditional village pub serving great quality local food and drink.
Most boring pub I have ever been in. Youth behind the bar clearly did not want to be there and made no attempt to smile of engage with customers. His glowering looks made a very uncomfortable atmosphere so we left hurriedly after one drink.

A friendly, comfortable Traditional Pub in the centre of Towcester high street, serving great quality locally sourced food in a beautiful and rustic environment. All dishes are cooked on site and are presented to a high standard. A wonderful atmosphere aw
First time at this pub, was impressed by 3 things - comfy seats, good service & extreemly large portions! er (Mushrooms on Toast) could easily pass for a main, what made it even better was the taste - absoultely superb, had chosen this venue as it is about half-way between Nuneaton & Aylesbury, where our eldest son (Ross) lives with his partner, as this nwas a Mothgers Day treat, albeit the day before the big day, will be eating here again in June, can't wait!

We are an independently owned friendly village gastro pub and restaurant, just a stones throw from Silverstone. We have real ales on tap from local brewers as well as a carefully selected wine list. In the kitchen we are proud to work with a small selecti
We had a super lunch. Fish and the lovely dry crisp chips was delicious. My friend had chicken Caesar salad. Both plates were empty. No room for dessert although they looked delicious. The staff were so friendly and efficient. I can thoroughly recommend this establishment if you want a good meal.Thank you for your kind words and for your endorsement. We hope you will return well before your friend's next birthday !

The Folly is situated in a beautiful location surrounded by rolling countryside on the A5 opposite Towcester racecourse. The original building dates back to the mid 1700's and is the quintessential thatched English property, full of character and understa
No fancy foams and tuile biscuits here, just good honest, traditional dishes. The service is just as traditional with friendly waiting staff who will talk to you, if you so wish. The dining experience is like going back to the 80s with none of the horrible bits. Iâd highly recommend the Folly, just donât bring your flairs. Hi Steve and thank you very much for your charming review. We try to reinterpret British classics with a contemporary twist. But we are not tempted to "show off" with unnecessary "chefiness". Glad to hear that you appreciated that.Hope to see you again soon.Best wishes, Robert, David & team

Went for lunch yesterday. Have been before but this time remembered to write a review! Lovely country pub withloads of parking. Really nice, attractive exterior and inside equally as well thought out and decorated.Sadly didnât get the barman/servers name but a lovely guy, helpful, friendly and efficient.I had 6 hour roast pork belly on a tomato, red pepper, butter bean and chorizo âstewâ sorry chef, canât remember the name but it was delicious! The chorizo pieces were generous unlike many restaurants who chop it so small you wouldnât know it was there. Everything was cooked to perfection. My wife had melted Camembert with bread for dipping and sweet potato fries. She said it was all superb. We also had a side order of fries which were some of the best Iâve had.The food and the experience was absolutely spot on.Many thanks guys. Weâll be back!
