We visited here as part of the Restaurant Week promotion and we definitely made a good choice. We were not offered a menu but just asked if there was any food we did not like or had any allergies to. We have experienced this style of ordering before and it is good fun if you have a broad palette. We also ordered the wine arrangement to go with each course. The courses were were prawns with a piri piri sauce, cheese ravioli with rocket and Parmesan, steak with truffle oil mashed potato and a chocolate fondant. Everything was excellent and we really enjoyed it. My wife's steak was served a bit too rare for her taste so the staff willingly took it back and gave it some extra time on the grill. The wines chosen by the staff were all really enjoyable and suited the food perfectly. The service was very attentive but not too formal and the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their product. Also they indulge in some good humored banter with the customers which sets them apart from other restaurants. We will definitely return to By J&M.

I've been coming here for 20 years. Food is always excellent, friendly staff, desserts are wonderful. I recommend the fish and chips, and the lamb roast on Sunday! Never had anything bad here

We stopped for a quick lunch during our tour of these narrow streets with interesting shops. Salad and burger were tasty and well presented. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They have a number of tables on the pavement so it was great to sit outside on this sunny day.

We had a nice lunch at Steam. The food was really nice and the service on very nice level, considering Dutch standards. The interior was also pleasant. We came when it wasnât too busy and we enjoyed the meal a lot.

At Bar&Restaurant Milú itâs all about tasting and enjoying. To taste as much as possible, we have a large selection of specialty beers (on tap and bottled), many open wines and a selection of nice cocktails and gin & tonics. Our international cuisine serv
I had a very good experience at this restaurant. I am coeliac, that means I cannot have gluten and I am terribly affected even by the lightest cross-contamination, but the staff here knew very well how to handle ingredients and they assured me they would use a small corner of the kitchen to prepare their gf dishes (which are also marked on the menu) and separate implements. The only downside was the slow service (there was a confusion with regard to how many dishes we ordered) but I guess that's not too strange on a busy day. I will definitely come back when I pass by Den Haag in the future :)

Walked too long to look for a dutch place as an evening out then this one just located across the hotel. I had the surprised 3 courses meal by chef. I would not say that they are very dutch but the art of cooking was excellent. I enjoyed my glass of herbal hot red wine. Yummy Thanks for your review! hope to see you back soon.

I visited Huppel de Pub one late afternoon for a couple of beers and to enjoy the fine mid-summer weather. Upon arrival, my waitress Eileen gave me a warm welcome as I took my seat outside. Throughout the my visit, she was very attentive and friendly â excellent service. The bar has several decent beers on tap to go with over 30 Dutch/Belgian bottles beers from the fridge. As afternoon became evening, the pub quickly filled up, so it might be tricky to get a good spot after a certain time. Overall, I'd highly recommend this lively establishment and would happily return.

Van Kinsbergen is a gastropub, brewery and diningroom in The Hague (Prins Hendrikplein, Zeeheldenkwartier). We are open all day for late breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch & drinks.
Found myself with a spare night in Den Haag prior to attending a conference across town, and set out to find supper. Van Kinsbergen had earned very good reviews on TA, so I felt it was worthy of a try, and it most certainly was.I was found a comfortable table by the excellent staff without having booked in advance. The pub was busy, but certainly not too overcrowded, and had a good vibe amongst a very mixed audience of groups, couples and individual diners. Clearly a mix between locals and visitors to Den Haag. Beer was cold, plenty of draft choices, and the 'Brand' lager was welcome after an evening of travelling. I opted for the Veal Stew, and it was really very good. The menu is short and largely 'on trend' but judging by the empty plates at other tables, it was obviously being enjoyed by all of the diners. I skipped dessert and enjoyed some Vegan sweets with coffee, and as with my main, they were excellent! Overall, great value for money, friendly, welcoming and smart. Van Kinsbergen clearly deserves its rapidly building reputation.
