We both had a steak and chips dinner here. The steaks were cooked spot on to our requests. The meat quality was excellent, so very, very tender. Not overloaded with chips, just a few big chunky ones. Best onion rings ever with a light crunchy batter. Also ordered a side of wilted crunchy greens, yummy. Interesting items on display, old telephones, radios, mirrors etc made for a great atmosphere. Great staff. Certainly recommend. Free wifi

Had passed it many times, but popped in for an early lunch on a Wednesday. We wanted something quite light as we were heading out for dinner that night. We chose to share one of the platters and we watched the ladies in the kitchen lovingly create it. It was an absolute picture of yumminess! The Brie had honey drizzled over it with a few chopped walnuts, and there were even gorgeous flowers in the salad in the middle. Falafels, dried apricots, fresh grapes, olives, garlic bread, crackers, pate .... just perfect!

Went to this restaurant with a group of business colleagues for dinner. Everyone's meal came except mine, checked if it was coming, advised it was. Everyone finished their mains ordered dessert still no main for me. Checked again " yes it is still coming". One hour 50 mins later it arrived after everyone else had finished mains and desserts. Shocking service, my meal should have been free after that but nothing. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

We stopped in a couple of times over the last few days and enjoyed a delicious tasting burger. The hotel was a little under-staffed with the person serving bar also doing something in the kitchen, but the service was friendly. I can recommend the beef and cheese burger which comes on an oversized bun making it a meal in itself.
