Walking down to the main square, noticed this small restaurant & almost walked passed. So glad we didnât. Itâs family owned, everything is fresh & homemade. All our food tasted delicious. The family husband & wife team are very eager to please, they have daily specials & made good recommendations. We had bread/pate/olives. Followed by mains of Hake/Tuna & 2 different Pork dishes. No room for desserts. Very reasonable prices too.

Review a tad overdue but really glad to have Eduardo back where he belongs. Service, food, value for money and all with a smile. This is such a simple place, but what they do, they do so well. Found next to the church, it looks like a backstreet cafe, but don't be put off, from breakfast through to a nightcap, it's a gem. Long way from Newcastle my friend, but great to have you back!

Somewhere else - Dave's Bar is primarily a bar but we also serve good food, from simple toasties to steak, mash and mushrooms.
If you want to watch English premier league football then try this bar. Not a massive place and a bit warm without the air con working, but always friendly faces willing to have banter over the footy and very reasonably priced drinks. Definitely a better option than the Irish Bar as Gaelic football and Hurling always get priority over English football meaning I often had to watch the game on a little TV in the corner with no commentary. Look forward to coming in here every year.

Came here a few times throughout my holiday, such a great little bar. The decor is very impressive and the outdoor sitting area is very impressive. Alex the owner and his staff are very friendly and the drinks are very cheap. Would definitely recommend coming here.

After being recommended to visit here from family who had recently and frequently had brunch here we arrived full of anticipation of a good meal and reception.Unfortunately for us, as we made our way into the back of the restaurant (their usual spot), things appeared different. We were completely ignored by the restaurant staff, for some reason they had Disney's "Donald Duck" videos playing and we waited a good 15 minutes before anyone even approached us; only to be told that they were busy and would be with us soon.We eventually received menus.. 2 in Portuguese and 1 in English between the 5 of us. At this point we hadn't even been asked if we wanted a drink..25 minutes after we arrived they took our order for both drinks and food. As they were all juice drinks it took a little time but they were delicious. As they started to deliver the food though, we received the hot bacon pancakes and the Smoked salmon on toast, they told us they had run out of the yoghurt needed for the Acai granola dish and we would have to wait, which we agreed to. Both hot dishes tasted lovely though. The Smoothie Bowl arrived and lived up to it's name.. apparently very tasty! No spoons had been laid at the table or offered, so we helped ourselves to cutlery we spotted across from the kitchen area.So whilst the three of us ate our food, the other 2 waited... and waited... and waited. Eventually the server came over with one of the granolas and apologised for the delay. whilst the 5th person waited for the other one to arrive... and waited... and waited... and waited..I went to speak to the server who looked blankly at me and said "you wanted 2 of them?".. As they hadn't started making it and we had all finished, we said no worries just the bill please. The bill was correct and presented with an apology and I paid it in full. As we left no attempt at all was made at saying goodbye, or anything. Those that had been previously and recommended the place we actually embarrassed about it. We wont be going back, which is a shame because actually the food we did get was good; service however was severely lacking. The BRUNCHERIA team appreciates your comment and deeply regrets that you have not had a good experience. We continue to work to improve our flaws and this is a process that takes time. Based on your comment, there was a reinforcement in the instructions given to the staff to prevent these situations from happening again. In the meantime, we have also resolved the issue with the menus. Please accept our apologies once again for what happened. We will be delighted to welcome you again in an attempt to redeem us and we hope that you can give us a second chance.

This is a lovely restaurant a bit off the beaten track in Cabanas, but worth seeking out. It's motto is "fun food and friendship" and that pretty well sums it up! We spend a lot of time in Cabanas and frequent the Jolly a lot. The food is,, we think, the
We had a lovely family meal here, sitting out in the courtyard on a very warm evening. I had the pork in mushroom sauce with potatoes and veg which was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese, my son had salmon which he demolished and my husband had melt in your mouth tuna.
