For your visit to the longest suspension bridge in the world or for the hiking and mountain experience, spend a relaxing stay at the cosy Treff 494. We serve burgers, Valais specialities, ice cream and much more. You can also park here for CHF 7 (includin
Small parking lot before trek to suspension bridge (7 CHF all day. ) Staff friendly. Portolet WC. Variety of drinks. Several picnic tables. Food prepared in a food truck. However, was not impressed with chicken nuggets or burger. The burger was a pre made patty - guessing beef- but was served under cooked. (About half cooked) Gross. They did cook a new one, but not impressed. Our kids enjoyed the goats nearby. Low score for food, since a restaurant type. Convenient parking!

We traveled with a group and were fortunate enough to dine in this lovely spot. We had a 5 course meal on a prix fixe menu. Everything was well prepared and styled. For those who did not wish to have the pork entree we were allowed to select other options. We also enjoyed some delightful Prosecco with dinner. Every course was beautifully prepared and succulent.

Indulge in the cosy, historic ambiance, feel the early stage of alpinism and toast to it. Trendy bar offering specialities such as tartar and home-made pasta.
I visited this bar/restaurant last year and liked it very much. So I decided to return this year. The place is still peaceful and pleasant, with quite good service. However, I was shocked at the price! My club sandwich was tiny and having to pay CHF 6.50 for 3dl of sparkling water is indecent. Yes, this is Zermatt, but my simple lunch (club sandwich, 2 dl glass of wine, water and coffee) cost more than CHF 50. A no go. Very disappointing.

We went there for drinks and appetizers. We ordered plenty enough. Our appetizers did not come until mid-way through our second round of drinks. When we asked a lady where our food was, she was quite snotty and unapologetic. The atmosphere is great and we would love to come back, if we have a different server.

We are currently closed for the off season. Hopefully see you all again in December! Love, your North Wall Bar Team.
Came here for dinner, and we were so impressed by the service that we came back again! The girls who run the place were so kind and caring, and provided us with fantastic service - although it took a little long during busier times, we were happy to wait. Even when we had to push back a reservation because of sports fixtures, they were happy to accommodate, which shows that they really go above and beyond to provide a great service! The garlic bread and dough balls were great and the pizza was delicious! Would definitely recommend coming here for a guaranteed great dinner! Thanks for your kind review! The first night you guys were here we got slammed, everyone came in at the same time after all the sports. Thanks for your patience :) Nice to chat to you and hope to see you back again one day!Cheers,Ariët

I read a review that this was a chic little bar in the Firefly hotel. I'm always looking for little gems and "secret" hideaways for my wife and I to go to. Bar55 did not disappoint. The decor and ambiance were stellar and the bartenders (sorry! forgot your names!) were super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We met some Swiss locals and had a great time over the wonderful drinks that were made. One of the bartenders made a round of Mai-Tais... not your standard drink for a European ski resort, but having lived in Hawaii for a decade, I can attest they were among the best Mai-tais ever! The other cool thing about this bar, is the many little intimate nooks that are great for small groups to gather.

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights in Zermatt and ate at Grizzly's 3 of those nights because the food is that good and the service was great! The homemade fries were good, the burgers were good and the spring rolls were so good I had them twice! The chef does an amazing job and the menu is far above your usual "bar food."

We stopped in for a few beers and had a wonderful bartender from Holland! She made great recommendations for different beers. We had just a snack of fries, the atmosphere was fun and it was great talking with others who were traveling also!

Welcome to Sparky's Bar & Restaurant. Wee are now closed after the summer season. Sparky's Bar & Restaurant will be opening again for the winter season from Thursday 14th November 2019. See you all soon.
We were so impressed with the food and Sparky that we ate here twice in our 8 night stay in Zermatt. Prices in Zermatt are very expensive but Sparkyâs was more reasonable. All the curries were gluten free and delicious. The 3 of us had a different one and all of them were very tasty. They did other type of food too. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and Sparky is a great chef and character. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying in Zermatt.
