I've heard great things about this place, but couldn't stand the cigarette smoke long enough to try the food out. 1 beer and I was out of there!

While staying at Holiday Inn in Santee we were able to eat dinner in the attached restaurant. Kem's is open to the hotel lobby but is very private at the same time and is a separate business. We were taken to our table that was private which was very nice. Booths, tables and bar. Salad bar in the back. They have specials which I decided to try. I got salmon, salad, string beans, roll and baked potato. The salmon was perfectly cooked and baked potato fresh. My husband ordered a club wrap and onion rings. The onion rings were cooked well and crisp. We both had pepsi products. Meal and service very good and it was nice to not have to get back in the car after a long day of travel. Price of meal with lots of food $30. Great value. I would highly recommend this location to eat if you stay or do not stay at this hotel.

Gourmet Steaks and Chops Fresh Caught Seafood Homemade Desserts
Not many places to go in the area, so most everyone comes here for a decent dinner and some entertainment. Food is pretty good but a few menu items need changed. Fried shrimp is one of them. The new fried shrimp breading is terrible. Steak is great, always perfectly cooked. I have an issue with the cover. Itâs WAY too high for the quality of entertainment they get. A terrible band that lip syncs is still $10 a head. Would love to see brunch offered here. Would also like to see comedy night, open mic night, karaoke and trivia night. Iâm kinda tired of beach music.

Stopped for dinner and was pleasantly surprisedThe view was really great. The food was the best I have found in a while. The steak was tender and their tea was the best I have had in months.. salad was fresh. The service was great, very nice people, everyone wanted to make sure you were happy. Well worth driving two hours to go back.Overall a great place to go and I couldnât have asked for a better place to take friends.

We have eaten here every March for the past nine years; that must say something for the restaurant. It is just down the road from Foxboro Golf Course on Goat Island. Most of us get seafood when we are there. It is not that busy in March but I bet once boating get into full swing it does better. It is right on Lake Marion with dockside parking.Never have i ever read a comment that touched my heart so much for this business. I thank you so much for your loyalty for 9 years and do hope you come back and have even more of our delicious seafood!

Family style restaurant with handmade cypress tables with an open air feel with full bar and wait staff.
We went out for a last night together with a large group of friends. This place has large tables and can seat larger groups easily. The waitresses are nice, but really can't handle larger groups or busy nights easily. We were seated and our friends came in along so everyone was ordering at various times. The waitress brought our drinks and took our order. One of the specials was Surf and Turf which was the ribeye steak with either shrimp or scallops. Both of us ordered our steaks rare. I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the shrimp, both fried. Our dinners came with a salad and side. We both chose the loaded potatoe, however my husband asked for the sour cream to be left off of his potatoe. This place has live music and the band this evening was very good and very loud. Unfortunately, the started just before our food arrived and the lights were dimmed. My steak was not rare. It was difficult to even see it, but with the light from my cell phone I could see it was more medium. I decided that it was too much trouble to ask them to redo it. My husband's potatoe came with nothing but the butter and no shrimp on his plate. The waitress told him she would bring the shrimp as soon as they got some done in the kitchen. It was quite a while and we finally stopped another waitress who brought him the toppers for his potatoe (cheese and bacon bits). They also brought him his shrimp. The shrimp and the scallops were very good. The steaks are marinated so a bit salty, but with a good flavor too. Had mine been cooked properly it would have been better. Some pieces were a bit chewy because it was overcooked. My husband did enjoy his and it was cooked properly. Our friends enjoyed the meal as well. The poboys looked delicious and the friends who ordered it were very happy with the choice. It was a wonderful dinner with friends. This place is definitely off the beaten path. You will need an up-to-date GPS to even find it. There is plenty of parking. The inside is non-smoking. There is a smoking area outside. There is also a section with two pool tables off to the other side. There is a bar area as well.
