My wife and I were looking for a comfortable gastropub with good beer and good food. We looked on yelp and found the closest thing in Stockton, was Valley Brew, a definite sports bar. The signed memorabilia on the red brick walls were amazing, I walked around looking at a signed Walter Payton Wheaties Box, signed Joe Montana and Mike Modano jerseys. I wish I was there during football season I bet it gets crazy, but it was the middle of baseball season on a Monday, so it was pretty much a low key environment. Our server was nerdy cute, and she knew her beers. They had a lot of beers, so I asked for a beer menu with ratings or descriptions, they didn't have any. All the beers are on a chalkboard above the bar without the alcohol % listed next to them. You have to walk up to the taps and read the small writing on the handles for information on your beer. I thought that was weird. I ordered the Drakes Red, I thought it was a well made beer. We ordered chips and salsa, I couldn't tell if the salsa was canned or fresh but it was a little salty. My wife got the special of the day, the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. I ordered the mushroom Swiss but I got Gouda instead. My burger was PERFECTLY COOKED, to medium, it would've been better with bacon, but it was really good. The Chicken Pesto was absolutely AMAZING! I stopped eating my burger to eat the sandwich. That sandwich should be a featured star on the menu, not a special. The COOK was on his game that night!Overall Valley Brew is a cool spot for chilling out and watching sports with the WIFEY, the kids or the homies. I would definitely go back for that sandwich!

Wings are delicious. Cripsy on the outside with a variety of sauces. I like their pizza too. Thick crust and you pick your toppings. If you like garlic they will put plenty on your pizza. Garlic, Italian sausage and some veggies makes for a great pizza. The wedge salad is fresh and generous. The young lady that takes your order at the register is welcoming and happy to help with your order. The gentlemen that prepare your food do a great job as well. Everything is very clean. Bottomless soft drinks. My grandson and I stop at least once a week. Just plain good food. Enjoy!

Ordered macho grande, - beef taco, chicken tamale, chicken enchilada w/ white cheese and a Chile relleno. Pleasantly surprised by presentation. Nothing was spectacular, but everything good. Have choice of beans. Plenty of parking and seating. Prices reasonable.

At the hotel's dining venue, the Delta Bistro and Lounge, the cuisine includes a All-American style menu and a full cocktails menu to satisfy the most discerning tastes. Our hotel offers room service for a relaxing dining experience
We enjoyed our food very much, and were pleased that unlike many hotel restaurants, it was not overpriced for the quality. There were some beautiful and interesting drinks from the bar. Setting was nice and our waiter was very, very attentive. I'd go back again. We would have liked to sit down closer to the waterfront, but a man at a nearby table was smoking a cigar. The hotel in which the restaurant is located would do well to do something to reduce the number and/or the 'free range' of smokers in the enclosed outside area.

Nicely situated overlooking waterways, this is a nice restaurant located at Embarcadero. You can watch fishing boats go past while dining. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. The food was so so. My friendâs pasta dish was floating on top of a large layer of oil. Very unappetizing. My salad and coffee was so so. If only the food would match the service and location!

My husband had the Parmesan crusted chicken. He gave me some of it and it was very flavorful. He really enjoyed it. I had the kale Brussel sprout salad. It had lots of goody in it. I had it without meat but a person can add chicken, cajan shrimp or salmon. There was nothing bland about this meal!Weâve gone out to eat quite a bit lately. This was one our our best meals.

We had high expectations for a delicious seafood dinner after a long drive. This is obviously a favorite local restaurant. I have to say the atmosphere is pretty boring. Bar area looked lively. Service ok but not very welcoming. Sourdough quite tasty and clam chowder good. My Petrale Sole consisted of two small pieces. The vegetable medley was unappetizing as they were obviously old. Carrots should not have a whitish appearance. Fish and chips were good.Perhaps just an off night but not on our list for a return visit.

I ordered the Bruschetta salad with chicken. The tomatoes were small unripe cherry tomatoes and the chicken was overcooked. Otherwise fine but this is my problem with the restaurant - the details. Service was very good. Drinks were great. I like this place but there is something always overlooked.

We had 12 people here for a combined Mother's Day lunch. My sister had been here previously and knew to reserve "The Library" for a large group. What a pleasure -- this private room allowed us to have quiet conversation even though the restaurant was packed. Service was the absolute best -- a very friendly and capable waitress. Food was very good with a wide array of vegan options, including Impossible Burgers and vegan cheese pizza!
