This is our go-to diner. Great food, and a great environment. We usually go on a Saturday, but we tried the burger Monday special and it is probably the best restaurant burger we've had in Waterloo. Server was excellent and the prices are bang on. We will return.

Our visit started off bad. The hostess, has not been instructed how to handle arriving guests. There was no hi how you doing nothing. We asked for a booth she said they were all reserved (which we could see after they were not) then she tried to sit us at a table beside a crying baby, really? The restaurant wasn't busy pick a better table. As soon as we sat at a table another people came in and they cleared a booth for them after she tried to also sit them at a table. Strike one you lied and could have provided a booth for us. On to dinner. My request was food with sauce on the side and 2 different people came out to ask me if that was true did I really want sauce on the side? and when the dinner finally came out the sauce wasn't on the side. Strike two. My partner already had his dinner nearly finished when my dinner came out with the sauce on the side. The dinner was close to raw. Strike three. I sent it back and decided at this point I just wanted to get out of there. The manager (well I think he was the manager) offered me a free desert. The desert never came until I asked our server for it a couple times. Strike four. After we were finished we had to wait and ask for the bill and wait and wait. Strike five. It was a Friday night and not busy yet so I don't know if the servers were over-worked or just new or what but this was bad. The table beside us also sent food back. Bad night maybe? But we won't be back.Hello! We are very sorry to hear about your experience, and we would like to follow up with you regarding it. Enjoy one of Canada's original roadhouse restaurants, with Canadian favourites like double stacked burgers and unforgettable chicken wings. At Kelsey's the beer is always cold and a game is always on.
Stopped for dinner and drinks and was impressed with the renovations to the restaurant. Freshened and opened up the restaurant side. The bar side is more modern now, seating a little awkward however, brighter than in the past. Food was good, burgers were decent and the chicken wings hit the mark, very saucy. Staff were friendly.
New building and big screen TVThe TV was so loud you couldnât talk to each other and the service was super slow on a Monday night with only a couple of people in the restaurant. We had the âspecial â wings & ribs.Food was luke warm and the wings covered in sauce... too much. The side salad was not fresh!!Will not be going back anytime soon.Bill & Donna from Waterloo

Have lunch here occasionally, usually pretty good. Today my husband made the mistake of ordering the fish and chips. It was the smallest meal ever. 2 little pieces of fish which would make 1 in ANY other restaurant and a small handful of fries. He was still hungry...

Good day...five in the group....seated right away....atmosphere on a sunday was hopping...server and all involved in serving were quite professional....all dishes served were acceptable....the only quibble is the pricing....as an example, sweet potato fries came to $14.00 with tax and tip....that is a touch much....all in all, positive experience, just overpriced....

What a lovely experience, celebrating a Laurier grad for lunch. We all enjoyed a variety of sandwiches & bowls & our server JOE was amazing. He was attentive, funny, prompt & we enjoyed his recommendations. The Congratulations dessert was just a sweet bonus ~ thank you! An upscale, comfortable, classy place...with very cool decor!

We dropped into the Jacobâs grill while visiting the picturesque town of St. Jacobâs. We had never been here before and we were thrilled by the outstanding food and the service. The food was brought out promptly and was exactly as ordered and absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in the area and are looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, drop into the grill
