We didnât feel like cooking so stopped in for supper. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server came to take drink order right away. The menu Is quite large. Spouse had ribs which were on special. I tried one and it was delicious.I had fajitas and they were just ok. Edible. I wonât order this particular dish again. It did look nice all the little dishes with sour cream, cheese etc. Salty. Kid had chicken strips and fries. Looked good but didnât try. So many options we will be back to try them out.

The first time we went here, food was and service was ok. The 2nd time was on friday, when they have this special offer "2 for 1". We ordered black angus-steaks, but it took nearly two hours before we got our disher. Unfortunatelly, plates wasn't anything what we expected: steak was small, dry and well-done even we both asked it medium. Sides weren't the same as we ordered and also the sauce was different. We told about this to the waiter and it took again like 40 minutes before we got new plates. We notices that nearly everyone at the restaurant at that time were not satisfied. The music was too loud, it was impossible to chat. I recomment you to avoid this place, specially the "special offer" they have.

Stopped here for a couple of beers and a chat with a guy down from the Turks and Cacos Islands, where it seems to be too quite, so he comes to DR a couple of times a year to chat with the proprietor in the his old tongue. The great thing about this bar is that there is a good clean toilet for use by the patrons. The ice cold beers were served up in a cane cooler by a pleasant young waitress. Snacks too are available at a very reasonable price.

Under new management since I was last here and it's great. Had some really good meals lately here, ie., quesdillas (yummy), fish and chips, fish fingers and chips and Shephard's Pie, highly recommend them all. Service was excellent and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Friends of ours wanted to take us to breakfast, so we chose El Conde. Eggs Benedict was terrible. The sauce, which should have been hollandaise, was a sour, soupy, citrusy concoction which left a burning sensation in your mouth. The English muffin was so hard it could not be cut. The eggs over easy ordered by our friend were hard cooked, not over easy. I had the French toast which was a stack of three English muffins with strawberry sauce. The English muffins were not completely soaked in the egg mixture, so were like the ones in the Eggs Benedict - hard, dry, and tough to cut. Then - the motor conchos sit right outside the restaurant, talking so load you couldnât hear to talk to each other. This was a disaster of a meal and an embarrassment as we had heard good things about El Conde. Because of this experience we will not be back for fear of getting an uneatable meal.

i am mexican and i live in dominican republic i have been to many mexican establishments in this country and this is the most authentic i appreciate the cleanliness as well i really like everything this place has to offer and the employees are super nice i gotta to meet the chef and walk around his kitchen and speak to him about products they use i was impressed by the authenticnessof the whole place i was honestly not expecting it since everywhere here in this country always trys but consistently fails this place is legit coming from a real Mexican.Dear Patty H - Thank you so much for telling the TripAdvisor world that we try our best to bring the great flavors of Mexico to the Dominican Republic. There are a few places claiming to have "Mexican" food. In reality, it is "Tex-Mex" at best and more like "Caribbean Mexican" food.from the Tacos al Pastor from Mexico City to the Ceviche from the coastal town of Vera Cruz to the Juarez Burritos to the Jalisco Enchiladas and all the other various Mexican street food. We try.Do not forget the purified water and clean modern bathrooms and showers eitherPlease come back and Viva Mexico y Republica Domincana!Steve

After about 6 days of eating authentic Dominican food in Santo Domingo, I arrived in Sosua craving some American food! Well compared to Santo Domingo the pickings were extremely slim! So I checked trip advisor and the Jolly Roger was the top spot for American style food in Sosua and thank god I wasn't disappointed! We ate at this spot for the majority of our stay in Sosua. I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and had the chicken tossed in the spicy bbq sauce which was really tasty! I also had the wings which were fried hard just how I like! The only thing I didn't like is that the wing sauce was put on the side instead of having the wings tossed in the sauce. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? But overall I really did enjoy this restaurant!
