We stopped off + had 2 burgers. They were homemade + the chips were crispy. My coleslaw was a bit watery but tasted ok. Not fully accessible, the tables outside blocked a possible wheelchair entrance, small door sills, could be bumped over. There werenât many people in that evening. I didnât look for an accessible toilet, so cannot advise there. Priced fairly. Thank you for your review. We do have many wheel chaired patrons of all ages and they donât struggle using our entrance or access past the benches outside the front. We are glad you liked our Burger and appreciate your feedback.

A great choice for budget and comfort. Well located, right on bus line that goes along the southern coast, and a short walk from the train station, Seaford's lovely seaside promenade, and everything in town. Minutes by bus from hikes in Seven Sisters Park. Single room was small but comfortable, and the price was excellent. Had a peek into the seaview doubles, which looked lovely. Full English breakfast, with other options available. Wifi was mostly reliable in the room. Staff and owners were pleasant, attentive, and helpful. The pub is bustling on weekend nights, but there's a separate entrance to hotel section and I didn't notice noise.

A beautiful bar & restaurant, with riverside views, serving food all day, every day, cooked by our professional chefs daily. Traditional & Tapas menu. Table service inside. A lovely large beach garden. Customer car park. Live music Wednesday & Saturday ev
We reckon this pub is worth a 20min bus ride and 2x10 min walks, even though we have great pubs in Rottingdean! A lovely modern patio terrace overlooking the estuary of the River Ouse, and a comfy, quirky, sea-themed bar inside the bi-fold doors. In winter there is even a log fire. Service at the long bar is professional and friendly, with a full range of wines, spirits and ales, including Harveyâs Sussex Bitter. We tried the tapas, choosing 6 dishes between 2. The garlic prawns, calimari and sticky pork in particular were all delicious and hot and only took 10min or so to come.Even the artisan bread was crispy and moist. Really hard to find any fault with this place! Will definitely be back.

Been meaning to try this place for a while so turned up for a random lunch. Usual pub type menu plus...but we ate off the board as specials more interesting. Baked place totally delicious with mini potatoes and veggies, I noticed they even had 2 vegan options. It was quiet so we sat in the conservatory , watched the harbour and had a friendly chat with the bar man. Will go again.

What on earth has happened to this once great pub? It has become seedy, dirty and thoroughly unpleasant. Avoid. Hi there!Thank you for your review, you're right, the pub was once great but unfortunately fell into a state of disrepair under the previous management. It's difficult to see a once great place fall upon such hard times but as the new business owners we are doing everything in our power to turn it back around! We have a very large refurbishment due to occur shortly, changes are coming! We please ask all our patrons to bear with us at this time, we are aware the decorations aren't pretty, the carpet is worn and things don't work but EVERYTHING is changing! New tables, new chairs, new toilets, the full works! We hope you return and give us a second chance. Thanks, Faye & Shane! :)

Pub atmosphere offering excellent home cooked food. Sunday lunches Wednesday steak night
After a mornings shopping, my partner & I decided to head for lunch. After a bit of deliberation, we headed to the cinque ports inn, seaford. Lovely, friendly welcome. We chose our drinks & poured over the menu. Emma took over at the beginning of February & has set up a fab menu. Choice of sandwiches, pub classics, jacket potatoes with different fillings, burgers & speciality dishes too. My partner decided on a mixed grill & I plumped for the 8oz rump steak with a peppercorn sauce as an extra. The meals arrived & you could see that everything was prepared from scratch. No frozen chips here! My steak came with homemade chips, peas, beer battered onion rings, mushrooms, tomato & salad. All of it tasted wonderful. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his mixed grill, which included the loveliest, thick gammon either of us had seen. All in all a fabulous meal, great value & will visit as often as possible, to try other dishes available. Desserts are available but, again, that will be tried another time. Highly recommend you visit & give it a try. Thank you Emma Thank you very much for your in depth review and look forward to seeing you soon.

Without a kitchen we have been trying different places to eat. Went here twice so canât be bad. Service is excellent no long wait. Food is hot and plentiful. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Cider was very good on draught. We will return again.

Having reserved a table for 3 in the evening, we found we were in the nursery area, with babies and young children loudly enjoying themselves right next to us. This was 7pm. We ordered drinks at the bar and asked where our table was, expecting someone to come over. No one did, so eventually we asked and was told we have to help ourselves to a menu and order at the busy bar. No one told us this.Booked for their GF options, the fish pie was a glutenous dry specimen with one overcooked prawn and probably cod? Side salad probably for show rather than eating. The fish and chips had overcooked batter, chips passable. Scampi was a large portion but again, overcooked. All was an unpleasant chore to get through, however, we were hungry so did. No one asked us how our meal was. Too crowded, I couldn't be heard to tell them anyway.

A year ago we would be pushed to get a table on a Friday lunchtime, the place was buzzing ⦠a year on and an ill-fated change in management in early 2018 and the place is dead. Another change in management and they have restored the meal deal (lunchtime menu) and the value and quality has returned, but as yet, the customers havenât.If you were a regular over the past 5 year, give it another go. I remember when we first started to go to The Shore at lunchtime back around 2014 we couldnât understand why the place wasnât packed. But it gradually got that way as the word spread ⦠sadly, it needs to happen again.A decent lunch for £5 ⦠a bargain.

Had an early dinner here, so we had the Sipper menu. Initially I thought it was a bit limited, but everything we ordered was super tasty! The burger seemed like it was home made with herbs, the fish cake was delicious and the waitress was adorable and very attentive.
