Ordered the special beef tips over rice with mushrooms. Beef tips were very tough with grizzle. I left them on the side of the bowl. Overall dish was salty as well. I did not complain to waitress, but she could clearly see I did not eat it. I would try it again but order more carefully.

Sticks & Stones Wood Fired Bistro & Bar located just off Interstate 87 in Schroon Lake, NY. Fireside dining inside and outside. Dog friendly patio. Featuring Adirondack Rustic ambiance with gracious local art decor. Authentic Wood Fired Neapolitan Pizza.
Had lunch here on a fairly crowded Sunday afternoon and got seated right away. The Service was fast and friendly and the pizza is absolutely outstanding. The restaurant has a very cool lodge/cabin decor. Also very reasonably priced.

What an incredible little wine bar - we stumbled into it and enjoyed the upstairs balcony seating. It's a combination of high tops and very comfortable cushioned patio furniture. We got there and admired the other table having a flight of 4 frozen drinks, so we ordered it too (and the next to arrive, and the ones after them too!). It was a very nice mix of unusual frozen drinks - most thought the peach or wine were the best. They also offer tastings of 5 wines (you pick from the list) and it's only $6. The food is perfect for a wine bar - soups, salads, and a few other choices, but we jumped at the cheese plate where you choose 3 of 8 cheese choices - the serving was very generous. The people next to us had the smoked salmon and said it was fabulous too. Service through-out the time we were there was excellent! It's very nicely decorated and located on the second story of the Town Store - highly recommended for a relaxing respite.

I drove down from Plattsburgh, on my way to New Jersey and stopped here for lunch. The whole experience was terrible. Place looked awesome from the outside. When I went inside there was no one there except the bartender. I asked if they were open for lunch. He grunted, "Yes". I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and a cheesesteak and tried to strike up a conversation. He barely said two words to me. My food took forever and remember, I was the only person there. I tried to chit chat a few times with the bartender but he was not friendly at all. I don't know if he was hung over or just grumpy but the whole experience sucked. He pretty much stayed at the far end of the bar. So strange. I have bartended, so I know how to treat my customers, whether there are 20 or just 1. Won't be going back here. I saw too many other places to try.
