Be prepared to pay premium prices for being in a trendy, glitzy locale with perfect location on main square of St. Poelten. Coffee and cake will easily set you back EUR 10. Decor and ambience are main reasons for visiting.

Arriving at St. Polten station with an hour's wait for the Mariazellerbahn train, we despaired seeing only a McDonald's open early on a Saturday morning. We needed coffee. We tried the city's main square - dead as a doornail. In fairness, maybe the establishments there were just recuperating from Friday night revels. But nothing was open.We then headed toward some interesting steeples in the distance and were delighted to find Domplatz, a lively little place with the Saturday market just getting underway and the Cafe Schubert on its pleasant corner already full of people. Not only did the tables out front prove to be a delightful place from which to view the market's colorful goings-on but on the far side of the square were more tables and chairs punctuated by big Cafe Schubert sun umbrellas, so it appears that as the day goes on and more people arrive, there's another seating option right in the midst of the day's action.We only had time for a quick but well-brewed coffee and a small pastry that made up in sweetness for what it lacked in size, but we were able to fortify ourselves for the upcoming train ride to Mariazell and at the same time soak up a little of the local atmosphere on a busy market day at Domplatz. It was all quite charming, and the cafe was a pleasant oasis, not to mention a better option for coffee than the standard McDonald's back at the station.

films at the paradiso are always quite sophisticated, the way I enjoy them, and to have a drink before with some Snack - good to sit in , nice staff!

Sind früher oft in der alten Location zu Gast gewesen die mir einfach besser gefallen hat aber ab und an schaffen wir es sporadisch auch ins neue Lokal!Das Lokal selbst hat sich als Konzept das Thema "How i met your Mother" genommen und muss natürlich leider auch ein wenig damit leben das die Serie im Nirvana verschwunden ist und so auch der Hype nachlässt, trotzdem kommen noch viele interessierte.Gut gefällt mir das der Chef von Anfang an immer neue gute Ideen mit einbringt und wirklich Herzblut ins Projekt steckt. Sogar die Speisekarte ist Themenbezogen, da heiÃe die Burger zB. Mosby oder Aldrin.Leider sind die Burger mittelmässig und die Beilagen TK-Ware aber damit muss man in einem Pub rechnen und das ist auch nicht weiter schlimm da die Hauptanzahl (mich eingeschloÃen eigentlich des Trinkens wegen kommt)Als Pub inkl. des coolen Pub-Quizes sehr zu empfehlen! Aufgrund der Lage kommen Bezirksauswertige wie Ich zB leider eher seltener.
