We sat a watched the sunset one evening last week and it was packed we were lucky to get a table. Had a couple drinks and a pizza â menu is very limited but you would visit for the atmosphere and the views. Worth a visit.

I returned to the UK yesterday after spending 2 weeks in Puerto de la Cruz I went to The New Robin Hood most days, the owners David and Jimmy and Phil the barman were always friendly and helpful and have a wealth of knowledge about Puerto de la Cruz and Tenerife. The food is excellent and their Sunday lunch is well known by holiday makers and locals. You find Scandinavian, Spanish German Dutch and English tucking into the homemade Pies, sausage rolls, Quiche, curries, chips (proper chips not frozen) breakfasts (Large medium and small) as well as the buffet style 3 course Sunday lunch where nobody goes home hungry. So if you fancy a good Yorkshire cuppa and something to eat or a couple of drinks and a chat call in and see David Jimmy and Phil I know I will be calling in again when I go back to Puerto next year.Dear Customer.Thank you for the lovely review; we're so pleased to have met your expectations. During your time here it was pleasing to read that you'd noticed our array of foods on offer and our mixed clientele. We look forward to seeing you again on your return to Puerto de la Cruz. Best RegardsPhil

Africa Gastrobar is a new concept of fusion cuisine, cocktails, beer and leisure. With it´s stylish African themed surroundings, Africa is the newly managed Gastrobar located just off the main square in Puerto de la Cruz.
Ate here on our last night and what a way to end the holiday. Ordered 5 mealsnfrom the tapas menu, each came perfectly timed one after another, and each as tasty as the last! Best place we have to found to eat in Puerto de la Cruz! The Daquiri cocktail was gorgeous

One of my friends recommended Restaurant Vicolo, and I'm so glad they did! The restaurant is located on Calle la Hoya almost directly opposite the Beehive British Football Pub but please don't be put off by this. The pub is very well managed and attracts no excessive noise, drunkenness or anti social behaviour! I can vouch for this because over the years I've been there many times. Unusually, it was a chilly evening and I was suffering a sore throat as I made my way to the restaurant. Although there were many people eating outside in Vicolo's seated dining terrace, I went inside because of my sore throat and the cold I was feeling. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised because the restaurant was of contemporary design, very modern and stylish and was in fact quite chic and upmarket. It was also spacious and spotlessly clean with seating for 24 persons inside and the same outside. Much bigger than I'd imagined.I particularly liked the smoky grey, slate-like floor tiles which did look very classy adding that touch of ambience to the restaurant. The subdued almost seductive lighting also enhanced the interior design creating a lovely warm atmosphere which within minutes saw me taking off my coat!A young waiter who spoke excellent English came to my table to take my order so I asked if I could have some fish soup which may have eased my sore throat. But sadly there wasn't any. Instead, I asked for an Americano coffee con leche (with milk) whilst I perused the menu. The waiter soon returned with my coffee served generously in a long glass. From the menu I ordered Spaghetti Marinara a wonderful looking pasta dish containing cooked mussels, shrimps, clams, prawns, cherry tomatoes and parsley. Sounded great!I began sipping my coffee which was really good. In fact it was excellent! By far the best coffee I'd tasted during the three weeks I'd been in Puerto de la Cruz!Although the waiter was constantly taking plates of food to diners eating outside, he still found time to have a chat to me which I found comforting. I then ordered a bottle of water to drink with my meal.It didn't seem long before my pasta dish was being placed in front of me. It looked and smelled absolutely amazing and tasted superb! Everything was piping hot and cooked to perfection. I savoured every mouthful! The different ingredients of fish were blended together so well with the pasta. I enjoyed the meal very much! After my meal, I ordered another coffee and before leaving the restaurant I complimented the chef who'd come to ask if I'd enjoyed his dish.As I left the restaurant and headed out into the coolness of the night, I felt warm. I felt full. I felt good ⦠very good! Another great dining experience! And the bill? 14 Euros! Exceptional value. So how would I sum up Restaurant Vicolo? A lovely, well managed modern restaurant creating a great atmosphere as well as great food. With friendly attentive staff, you'll always be guaranteed a warm welcome here. Highly recommended! Happy dining! Lee A.
