It was a late night in Siena as we headed back to our villa in Paciano. We called our friend and she recommneded Pellicano for a late night treat of good food and drink. The pizza was Excellent along with the wine, pasta and tiramisu... A great stop to watch the Calcio game that is on and great for families.. Large inside for parties and get togethers.. Open very late too. A must try.

Bar del Sole has a great spot overlooking the lake and there is a long line of seats outside enabling you to enjoy the views.Friendly bar and cafe which we visited a few times on our trip to Passignano. We had simple dishes here e.g. panninis. Nice local wine always served with plenty of nibbles and a good spot for a drink.They have their own ice-cream and it is really tasty.

We were looking for a country restaurant off the beaten track and found La Antica Molinella just a few kilometres outside Passignano sul Trasimeno, up a short lane, and signposted. The owners were very welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed. We could have had the Tourist Menu at 16 Euros but chose from the main menu. The Sicilian Aubergine dish and the Cheese Board as starters were delicious (we even asked to take the rest of the cheese home for later!). For mains the Lake Perch Fillets and Fried Sea Food Platter were well prepared and perfectly cooked. Hardly room for dessert so shared a Coppa Gelato. At 60 Euros for two including wine and water we were very happy.

Passando per Via dei Molini potreste non notarla, ma questa panetteria/pasticceria/bar vale davvero la pena di una visitina...Dalla colazione con un cappuccino che buono così è difficile trovarlo, alla merenda con un cornetto formato famiglia ripieno di ogni bendidio, fino al pranzo con pane di moltissime varietà (che peraltro potete comodamente comprare oggi e finire tra due giorni, come quello delle nostre nonne!!) e pizze ricche di olive, pomodoro e mozzarella.Che abbiate solo bisogno di un buon caffè (e se vi piace il latte vi consiglio di farvelo macchiare, giusto per capire la differenza!) oppure abbiate solo bisogno di una coccola dolce per il palato, non avete che da fermarvi qui...A disposizione dei clienti ci sono svariati tavolini e un ampio parcheggio.La gentilezza dei proprietari poi, è la chicca di questo posticino un po' nascosto ma di grande valore: fatevi consigliare da loro qualcosa di goloso e non ve ne pentirete. Peccato non averlo vicino casa... :(

Ugh. What can I say. Dinner was overpriced, incredibly bad quality and service poor. Chicken burger was dry and processed and absolutely covered in ketchup. No âwould you like anyâ or a little dish on the side, covered! Cod was chewy and the pasta was really really overcooked. We also paid over £100 for the privilege. Donât ruin your evening by eating here.
