We had lunch at this restaurant twice during our 10 day visit to the Dordogne region. The omelets and salads were excellent, as was the rose wine. Service was very efficient and friendly. We would not hesitate to return.

L'Escapade is a hidden gem in Carlux village near the Dordogne River. The set menu of aspargus flan, tagliatelle with a rich tomato and meat sauce and tarte citron with chantilly was delicious and only 13 euros. The en suite double room in the attic where we stayed was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and furnished in a simple modern style. The views were lovely. The young couple are charming and helpful. We recommended L'Escapade to friends who have booked a weekend in September 2016.

We were staying opposite the Golf Club and reserved a table for lunch to celebrate my Husband's 50th Birthday. The food and service was excellent and very good value. The waitress was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely return if in the region.
