We booked the large room and a buffet for my mothers funeral reception The staff were brilliant and the food fantastic Everyone felt the same Thanks to the team there who made the celebration of mums life extra specialHi Terry, thank you so much for the positive feedback and 5* review. I really like this place ( always have). Very clean and well run establishment. Good selection of beers, service always on the ball and the food has always been really good. Stayed at the Bowling Green for the first time and was most impressed. Super value for money and lovely modern rooms. The staff are very friendly and welcoming which contributes to the atmosphere in the bar. Great food both in quality and range.Highly recommend it if you’re in the South Manchester area.

Six of us went for a birthday dinner, we had various starters and mains, all tastes were catered for including vegetarian, they were also ok with us providing a home make cake for the birthday recipient. They even show their current music choices on the website.

Well, wasn't this was a pleasant find. Portions sizes very ample. Mrs C and I had had the fish and chips, mainly so I didn't have to say 'yours looks better than mine'.Chips were awesome.Sides of Garlic mushrooms were lovely, and onion rings were OK.Lovely jubbly.

This is such a nice place for food. The staff are lovely and knowledgeable and we were greeted by Stacey who looked after us so well, as she always does. The menu changes regularly and the specials are sometimes divine. A few dishes stand out for me. The cauliflower wings with the Korean spicy sauce is divine, the Bolognese pizza is to die for (although not on the menu anymore, please bring it back) and one of my favourite dishes ever was their Bolognese Pot Pie, which had a pizza crust - sounds odd but is delicious - please bring this back also! Will be visiting again soon no doubt!

Love to grab a coffee here 1st thing in the morning. Staff are welcoming and the cakes look delightful. Would love to try the Portland I see they have on draft. The lady Maria who serves me most mornings is very welcoming and always has a smile. Highly recommended

Came for a visit after walking around the park on a lovely sunny day.Food was delicious with lots to offer (especially the puds ) Service was quick and staff were attentive.Had a great view of the water watching all the different types of activities.Thank you and would visit again
