Restaurant dans la zac à saint jean de monts, menu « ouvrier » à 11,50⬠par personne comprenant entrée à volonté(diverses salades composées, crevettes, bulots, Åufs durs ...) 3 plats du jour au choix néanmoins que de la viande, dessert et fromage à volonté. Bon rapport qualité prix. Un rehausseur bebe pour tout le restaurant et pas de table à langer.

In the midst of a June heatwave when you find yourself on the plage at Saint-Jeam-de-Monts what do you need, a bar serving cold beer and wine and a selection of food to tempt you.At Le "Farniente" you've found it. Suspect in high season you might need to arrive at dawn and stake out a table but in mid June on a quiet mid week day it was parfait.Pleasant service, reasonable (remember you're on one of the best beaches in France) prices and a view to die for, (even if the sun was glaring it was hard to see.)Not flashy, just simple stuff done well.

My family and I went here to watch Ireland V Italy match and left tout suite.. The lady in charge was not in the least welcoming as I requested the TV to b turned on to Ireland she barked back 'not until kick off ' A young girl who was waitressing was nice bit obviously in fear of the other lady.. I drank up my Guinness quickly - which was perfect - BTW and we returned to our camp site crestfallen . Sad to see it like this as we have been going here for 20 years . In fact it was a large part of our holidaysThank you for your comment. As you wrote in your first comment in may Le Mélanie is still a great spot for GAA or to drink a Guinness. I can't answer your question "what has happened ?" but knowing the person in charge during this match, i am quite sure this is a misunderstanding. Next time you come, make yourself known to us. You will see how welcoming we can be.Hope to see soon, Max.

We visited twice this week. Tasty hamburger and pizza options and both times we were very happy. The service is excellent and the chef patron and his wife couldn't have been more helpful along with both waitresses. Ideal spot for a family meal and close to the night market.

We went here after a recommendation in town. The first time was so good we went back again. The staff were very friendly helpful, spoke English but were happy to let us try our poor French first until we got stuck. They were very happy to take kids including a small toddler. The food was great, very nice meals, steaks and pizzas both times. The deserts were nice. The location looking out to sea was nice as well.

Dear alljust to saiy that few years ago I was contacted by the owner ( Johan ) to be the head chef, weel I didn't worked there but I want toi say that this guy is really taking care of his business, food business is not easy to run and specially in this city restaurant can't effort to hire high qualify staff.. so give the the chance, and you are on holliday so take your time... and honestly you go to the market every day how much you need to pay for good fresh food ??? so yes they have to use normal food what you can expect ? they are working very hard... and a lot of hours to offer you cheap good food and drinks... please take this in consideration
