My husband and I were in town for two nights, went here for dinner on the first night (had an Entertainment Book voucher) was so yummy went back the next night. Staff were super friendly. Great tunes were playing. Would definitely recommend this place for a drink or a meal if you are in town! The food was delicious and great portions.

Celebrating another couples Wedding Anniversary. Having had a few drinks and dinner elsewhere Rotoruaâs Eatstreat this was a great place to finish the night off. Very cool bar with a dark and trendy inside area. Plenty of outside tables and learners. Had a few pretty good Strawberry Daiquiris to finish off our night. Security were strict (couldnât do a head stand onsite lol) but friendly under the circumstances. Not a usual Request being asked by Patrons if headstands are allowed. Staff/security very friendly and fair.

Lone Star restaurants always feature friendly staff, but in Rotorua, where to be honest, customer service is a bit laidback and haphazard at times, Lone Star stands out. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and nothing was a bother. Shine, in particular, was attentive without being in my face, which was appreciated. The food and drink were great, and they were happy to let me take the free dessert I got for downloading the app away for me. Service was very quick, and it was all around the relaxing experience I needed for dinner on a Monday night while travelling for work. Thanks Lone Star Rotorua! The last time I went here I was not impressed (in July 2019). Another club I belong to wanted to have a lunch meeting here. I was not looking forward to it.I am so pleased to say that the service was much better. We had a meeting where the meal arrived in a timely manner, the Head Waitress was very organised and we ALL got our meals within minutes of each other.My congratulations to the Head Waitress, she did a marvellous job. This was the way that the separate room meals should be run.

Just a note to anyone visiting, you have to place your own orders at the bar and they bring stuff out to you. It would have been helpful to know this when they sat us down away in a corner. Might have been helpful if they mentioned it. That aside, the place is very loud, crowded, service is mediocre and slow. The waiters tend to ignore and avoid your eye contact.Given the number of other restaurants in Rotorua I can't recommend going here - there are tons of other places to eat that have delicious food and much better service.I don't recommend going here.We don't normally get it wrong but seems we did for this group. The meet and greet person is supposed to let you know to order at the bar. Perhaps that was missed this time? We don't have waiters the floor. We have bussers running food. All service is at the bar only. Yes, it does get crowded and with the people comes a buzz. Other customers have commented on the atmosphere that this creates. We don't apologise for being busy. People come here for a reason. We don't recommend you come here either if you want a quiet place with table service. That's not us. We are about pub food, drinks and good times.

This was our second visit for lunch and I must say standards appeared to have dropped. I had the open chicken sandwich, rather different from last time in terms of the amount of chicken, bacon and salad; my partner had the steak sandwich which he was disappointed with in terms of quality; spicy shrimps, which were still good; childâs nachos with chicken, which looked disgusting in terms of colouring, probably tasted better than looked; a couple of dishes with taco chips served with salsa or guacamole and not much else. Overpriced for what you receive, also applies to the beverages. Sorry but I would think twice before ever returning.

Small restaurant, but OMG the food was delicious! I had the 50/50 cheeseburger with a gf bun and the pork belly bites. The meat was incredible. Itâs the perfect place for people with celiacs disease - only 2 items have any gluten, and they are not cooked with anything else!
