As soon as you walk into this restaurant, it's clear that while the ambiance is great, it's casual and relaxing. The service is excellent; the food is wonderful, and the price is reasonable. I do suggest making reservations, as it's a popular place. There are plenty of eateries in the area, but if you're visiting the area and staying a few days, try to make this at least a place for one of your meals.

We ate here, having enjoyed the restaurant on a trip to California in 2017. I ordered french onion soup and a house salad; my travel partner had a fish sandwich. My soup arrived lukewarm, although the cheese was melted. Seemed like it might have been hot once and sat for awhile in the window waiting to be picked up. That said, it was tasty as was the salad. The garlic bread was also served cold although it was evident it has been warm at one point. As we finished our meal, our waitress asked if we minded if she brought our check. We said, no, it was fine, because we were almost finished. Cue the waitress to disappear. After about 10 minutes, I asked two busboys to find her. She then appeared, asking if we wanted change back before I could even see what the charges were. We won't go back to this Red Robin.
Silver Sage Magazine was out in Lancaster County PA for a theatre performance. We stopped along the main road into Vic's Wayside Inn Bar & Motel. It was a quiet, dark, handsomely decorated hidden gem. Our server - was awesome. PeJaye Williams was a delight. We also met Jaime - a regular with a sad story and Ryan (a regular with no story).Cold beer, excellent service. Perfect place to grab a small bite and have a drink into or out of Lancaster. Don't let the nondescript exterior fool you. Stop in and you'll immediately feel at home. The owner - has been around and has collected some fantastic stories and artifacts for Vic's.#silversagemag will return.

The food was fine and the waitress was great but the place had a long wait for tables just due to being understaffed. The kitchen was backed up and they didn't have enough servers. There were so many empty tables. The restaurant needs better management to shape up the place. Why not seat people and allow them to order a drink and tell them the kitchen is backed up. Be truthful about the situation.

Visited this Saturday around Noon, quickly seated in a booth, our food choice was the sirloin tips sandwich (steak was tender) and very tasty, as was the fish tacos. For bears we tried the Lancaster lager (nice light beer) and the amber lager, which had more punch. Overall very impressed with the quality of the food and good beer choice, next time will try a beer sampler.

My wife's prime rib sandwich was something to behold! It was a huge piece of beef, twice the size of the brioche bun and perfectly prepared. The ambience at Fireside is very warm and the service is friendly and efficient. Check out their broad selections of draft beers, too! Just because the restaurant sits between a Clarion Inn and a Holiday Inn Express, do NOT mistake this for a hotel restaurant - the kind where they feel little obligation to serve a good meal because they figure they've got you, anyway. This is a classy place that serves good food and drink!
