A tour guide at Beauport suggested this as a âpub that locals enjoy with good food.â That is probably the best description located just at the edge of the downtown this pub was filled with locals having lunch or a drink. The food was very good and I was happy with the vegetarian options. The portabella sandwich was delicious as was the cole slaw. My husband had the grilled halibut and praised it as fresh and cooked just right. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The place is well run. Orders were taken shortly after we arrived. The food came quickly but we never felt rushed. Our bill with 2 excellent iced teas $32.

Lovely outdoor seating, beautiful seaside view. Varied menu options to choose. Caesar salad plentiful, anchovy on side; Ahi tuna presented well, crispy wonton served w/wasabi; octopus carpaccio served w/jalapeno & greens; fish and chips plentiful, served hot, tartar; scallop dinner was the crown jewel of our order - 5 large scallop, perfectly seared a top a beautiful mash or carrot puree, Coffee and dessert was a nice ending, tho the key lime dessert was not as good as we wanted it to be. Special occasion definitely, lunch or dinner once in a while,Thank you for your 5-star review of 1606 Restaurant & Bar. We are glad you had a delicious meal and enjoyed our seaside atmosphere. Whether it be for a special occasion or everyday lunch, we hope to see you again soon!

Great view of the harbor. Food was excellent. Clam chowder and lobster roll were just outstanding. Had several local brews for the offing. Tried both.

Waterfront dining with an oversized deck and retractable glass walls that create an alfresco experience both inside and out. Fresh, local seafood, creative sushi and tavern favorites are complemented by refreshing cocktails. Live music every weekend. Dinn
Definitely the second best restaurant in Gloucester named for a Grateful Dead song. I donât know why a seafood oriented place would insist it was âborn in the desert,â though. Judging from the Mexican dishes it wasnât the Sonoran desert, but the nachos are a lot of food for the money. Site on working harbor excellent. Most appetizers pretty good, most entrees not very good; the steak tips are fine. Decent service, decent bar (well selected beer menu). Fine for kids. Pleasant but not as good a restaurant as the previous Lat 43 incarnation. Thanks for the feedback. Check us out in October when we change to our Fall menu.Best,Zach SearsGeneral ManagerMinglewood Harborside

A brew-pub that creates their own craft beers and serves up great pub food along with their incredible drafts.
All food and beverages were great, but the wait staff is young and inattentive. TWICE I had to get up and seek out our server who was about 20 feet away sitting and talking with another server at the outside bar. There were a total of three parties outside at the time and two of those weren't even her table! I concur with other reviews about disappointment. It has great potential but management better wake up... there are too many other great choices in downtown Gloucester.

The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder t
We had a relaxing lunch at The Gloucester House, dining outside on the porch overlooking the harbor. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. The sole in lemon caper sauce was quite good, with a strong lemony flavor. The lobster roll was also a highlight. Service was friendly and efficient. Recommend.

I usually only give 4 or 5 star reviews. The Seaport Grill was just - mediocre. Yes, there are big portions , but big portions of blah food. I can only base this on one experiene there. First, our waiter was very welcoming, so happy to see us, cheerul cheerful. And then he barely appeared again. We had to ask other waiters for another drink, etc. huh ??I had the â Mexicanâ haddock. I am a New Englander and I know I like haddock. This was a bland piece of fish with what could best be called a â hunkâ of avocado next to it. Not sliced avocado or guacamole, just a lump of avocado. The plate also had some very bland ( out of a jar?) salsa next tomthe fish. Tasteless. The whole thing was a sad presentation. My husband had the baked stuffed lobster, a dish he has ordered many times here and there. He said it was overcooked with tough shrimp in it. OK, not poison, but poorly prepared. The only thing that kept us from registering a complaint was that a second waiter ( not â ourâ missing waiter)brought us a second glass of wine and it was a big pour. So, disappointing. Go there if:OK food is ok with you.Presentation doesnt matter. You want a big portion or not poisonous food.Sorry.We are sorry to hear you were disappointed in your visit and we fell short of our usual high standards. Your feedback is appreciated and we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced. We encourage you to reach out to us directly at [email protected] in order to further discuss you experience.

food tasted excellent and was presented very well. On busy nights reservations are a must and sometimes people linger after there meal so you may have to wait a few minutes for your table on those nights. ( only if sitting outside)Hi Bob - Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your dinner at Pigeon Cove Tavern. Thank you for recommending reservations, they are most helpful during the busy summer months. We hope to see you at The Tavern again soon!

The 7th Wave is under new management for the 2017 season! We welcome you to visit us, try our new menu and of course, enjoy the view!
This casual restaurant, overlooking the water, has a nautical theme with robe chandeliers & weathered looking paneling on the walls. The five of us thought our food was tasty. I took off one star though, as their steamed lobster ($28 the day we were there) came with NO SIDES!!! Really?? Also, when I asked the waitress whether they served any bread or rolls, she said she could get us bread for a charge of $1.00! I know we were in a touristy place, but I thought that was chintzy. The biggest reason to eat here really is the fabulous view...
