We have been looking for a decent Sunday pub roast for ages now, and can only say we were completely bowled over by the food in this place. I orderd the vegetarian option and this was really tasty. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy, veg cooked just right, and roasties were just perfect - crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Husband and son got a roast platter with 3 choices of meat. It was big enough to feed at least 3 people! Will definitely be returning here!

New comfortable renovated pub in North Watford just 5 minutes walk from Watford Junction Station along St Albans Road. We are family friendly and have a Beer Garden behind the pub. Our Head Chef is 5 star trained and has worked at The Grove Hotel in Watfo
Staff really very nice. My partner had lamb I had beef. Beef was not pink in middle pretty dry. The lamb looked nicer. Roast potatoes were like boiled potatoes which was a shame as everyone loves a roast potato. Plate was hot which I always think is important. Yorkshireâs were homemade and very nice. Iâd say an average roast, starter was nice. Would we go back for food? Probably not which is a shame

This visit was for three adults on a busy Friday evening. Parking was available at the front of the building. There was a large party in the rear area and we were found a quiet table at the front, and we were able to look into the kitchen. We found the whole experience excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was very tasty, not your usual, 'base sauce with extras thrown in'. We could watch it all being cooked fresh. My wife's king prawns were slightly undercooked, but this was quickly rectified with apologies (however, lost one 'star'). The chicken dishes were perfect, as were the vegetables.Good selection of drinks. We will certainly put this on the 'go again' list.Dear Richard, Thank you for your detailed review, we value your feedback :-) Apologies again for the undercooked prawns and we have noted this down to ensure it does not happen again. We are glad that you enjoyed the food and look forward to seeing you again soon :-) Please kindly take the time to download our 'MC Group' app from the app store to sign up for loyalty benefits & discounts to use at all of our venues. Built in 1739, The Boot is a cosy, traditional English country pub restaurant, complete with an Inglenook fireplace, traditional bar area and newly extended restaurant "Wellingtons". Whether you're after a quality pint from our selection of real ales from
Had fish and chips, thought it poor quality. Cold chips and fish poor quality. Also expensive for a poor quality meal. Service was fineHello,We are extremely sorry to read your review and would like to request a few further details? I have spoken with our staff from the last few days and none can recall receiving a complaint on the Fish and Chips, can you please confirm you informed a member of staff about your dish? Our Tuesday evening Fish and Chips are on special offer of only £7, so I deduct it is not from then. A member of our team would have been more than happy to replace your dish if they had known! I am glad to hear service was good, we pride ourselves on excellent, personable service :) All of our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order so it is surprising to hear the chips were cold. Our haddock is fresh and as you can see from previous reviews it is usually raved about. Please can you email us with further details, we would of course appreciate more information and a chance to redeem ourselves? Please email - [email protected] :) Thank you so much!

Hi we visited here for lunch, the setting is lovely, the place was clean, the service was excellent and the food and drink were of a high standard. Having not been here for a couple of years it was great to see that the standard was still high and we would definitely return.

The Feathers Public House and Kitchen is a big point of difference in a small community. The history of this building is a journey in itself, having been many loved homes and businesses throughout the five hundred years or so she's been standing. It is no
We went for a quick lunch. I had the club sandwich and my daughter the flat bread salad. The club sandwich was ok. The bacon could have done with a couple of minutes more cooking. Also it got a bit soggy. The flat bread salad was very nice. £2 for a pint of soda water is a bit steep. If there was a rating between average and very good thats what I would have opted for. Better than average, not very good. Dear guestThank you for your feed back.Im sorry for your soggy sandwich.I will be sure to pass it on to the kitchen.Hope to see you soon.Kind regardsVictoria

We were passing through and chose this place for Sunday lunch as it was listed as dog- friendly and it looked like it had a lot of greenery around it for a nice post lunch walk. We were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, nice ambience, offered the dog water. Good menu choice- the usual Sunday roasts offered ( I had a lovely vegetarian Chestnut roast with all the trimmings incl veg gravy and a great yorkshire pudding) and hubby had steak which was a good size and he said was perfectly cooked. Great chips too! Yummy dessert choice. Nice lakeside walks nearby. Will definitely come again if in the area. We both had two courses, and bill was just over £40 incl two pints of beer so we thought this was good value.
