Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Ramsgate. Ramsgate is a seaside town in the district of Thanet in east Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century. In 2001 it had a population of around 40,000. Ramsgate’s main attraction is its coastline, and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast, and the Port of Ramsgate has provided cross-channel ferries for many years.

We were looking around for a restaurant with fish on their menu, not fried! We looked at the restaurant menu online and it appeared very suitable, so booked a table. We ate dinner on a Friday night and were quite surprised that we were the only diners in there. We were given the menu and our drinks order was taken. There is a second "specials" menu, which was a very reasonably priced vegetarian menu.We ordered the tuna (£14), monkfish with prawns and parma ham (£17.50) and rack of lamb (£17.50). We were impressed with the presentation and also the fact that we received plenty of fresh vegetables, often small servings in other establishments. All were cooked to perfection. Each one of us said what very good, tasty food it was, the best we have had for a long while. We could not resist the desserts, priced at £4. We had the lemon and lime cheesecake and summer fruit creme brullee. My husband chose the cheese board at £6.50. He commented that it was the best one he had in 6 years!I have to say the quality, price and service we really could not understand why the restaurant wasn't full!It also has a nice view, overlooking Ramsgate harbour.Go along , you won't be disappointed!!Thank you for your review ! We are glad you enjoyed your meal and hope to see you again soon!!

Still terrific value for money at this Weatherspoon pub with terrific food prices and the lowest drink prices in the town !! When went they were doing a pint of beer for £1.80 and even Doombar was only £2.00 a pint - I was so surprised I had to check with the waitress it was not for an halfHello, We are glad you are happy with our prices and food! I can say they wont be changing any time soon! Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you visit again soon.

Staff attentive, better than my previous visit but it was early afternoon and empty. The menu could benefit from a serious overhaul. Pretty much potatoes with everything and only one vegan choice. Food was 'ok' but considering its location and views I think it is definitely missing a trick with what it offers.Thank you for your feedback and comments relating to our staff :) I have passed your further comments onto the relevant department.Kind regards,SaranneIf you would like to contact the General Manager directly then please do so on [email protected].

Called in recently to try the food here for the first time, having enjoyed a couple of good music nights. We were both amazed by just how good everything was. 2 starters and 2 fish dishes off the daily specials board were all amazing. All tasty and very well seasoned. Quality of everything was excellent! Portion size of the starters was huge too.Staff were very friendly and helpful, suggesting that we mix and match elements from the main courses to suit our preference..Do not let the exterior of this building put you off, inside is warm and welcoming. We will be coming back very soon to try other dishes. Thank you so much for your kind words, we look forward very much to seeing you very soon .. :)

Built in 1576, The Bell Inn has been central to the the village of Minster-in-Thanet. As the centuries have passed, the one thing that has never changed at the Bell, is the importance of community, which is why in 2019, Keith and Debbie Barnett, have deci
We had a great family lunch in The Bell today with some lovely wholesome food at a reasonable price and we were definitely not disappointed. A great menu to choose from and the food came out hot. The staff were attentive, but not overly in any way and could not have been more helpful from the time we'd pre-booked to the time we left.Yes we will be back!!!!

Welcome to the Toby Carvery Thanet. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings â including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely
Popped in at lunch time. The restaurant was already fairly busy, but we were shown to our table promptly, and once there, we ordered drinks, which turned up quickly as well.We had the carvery, 4 meats were on offer, and all the food was cooked well, was hot, and well presented. The chef and staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our meal. There is a car park on site, which is accessed via a side road, signage could be a bit better here, but this did not distract from what was an all round good visit.Hi Livelifet0thefull, We are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! We always strive to provide top quality service to every guest, and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience here at Toby Carvery Thanet! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a brilliant review. Hopefully see you again soon.Kind RegardsJoshManager

Cliff top Shepherd Neame Tenanted Pub with large patio overlooking Pegwell Bay. Reservations are strongly recommended as this establishment gets extremely busy, especially during the Summer months
On a beautiful sunny day sat outside on the deck and had a lovely lunch. Service was a bit slow for a Monday but was worth the wait.

Our food philosophy is to buy the best you can find and prepare dishes in a simple and uncomplicated way. Our menus change regularly and reflect the ingredients which our suppliers feel are the best on offer on the day you visit us. We are open to the pub
We came for a set choice menu for a family special birthday celebration on Sunday afternoon. The ambiance was very good, comfortable & relaxing and we were made very welcome. The food was delicious and generous servings. I had a tasty prawn cocktail, roast beef with trimmings & Eton mess for dessert. Good wines choice too. We were made welcome & service was excellent but not rushed. Catered for 3 children in our party too. We sat back & enjoyed a lovely family gathering - there were 17 of us altogether.. Will definitely return when next in Ramsgate & would recommend for any occasion. Dear vivijay9Thank you for your wonderful review. What a pleasure to read. We are glad that you enjoyed your lunch on the special occasion and that we looked after you. I will pass your comments onto the staff and look forward to your return.Warm regardsRosey

As my partners family are from ramsgate I have been in this pub many times, for drinks, for meals and for family occasions. The owners and staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. Food is always lovely and value for money . We recently held my mother-in-laws wake in the function room at the rear and the staff couldnât of been more helpful , turning a tragic family moment into a beautiful family gathering........Thank you so much !

Village Pub & Kitchen
Tried this pub after a couple of years absence. Sadly it has changed hands and the menu is pretty basic and picking what to eat was difficult. No specials board. Desserts were limited choice too. Pub very noisy and the sound does travel through to the restaurant. Also sat at a table which was not fit for purpose. Very small in height compared to the others. Nice enough staff but we wont be going back.
