After about a year of not having visited we arrived on Thursday night for an early supper with a visiting member of the family. I booked the table in the restaurant part . Despite all the doors being wide open ( summer) the room had an unpleasant stale smell of food often present in food places not thoroughly cleaned/ repainted often enough. Wooden tables were clean. The mezze board to share before the main meal. Carrot and cucumber sticks were dried on edges clearly cut much arlier and left uncovered in the kitchen, baked haloumi sticks were commercially pre-preprepared and did not taste freshly baked. Dips barely visible under the vegetables. Mains were fine. Staff was as helpful and as good as I remember from previous visits.Good morning, We can only apologise for the stale odour that you experienced. This is not something that we come across very often and are disappointed that it affected your evening. The pub is deep cleaned every morning by professional cleaners and we take great pride in its overall appearance and the ambience this creates. With regards to the mezze board - we are disappointed to hear that you found the ingredients to not be as fresh as they should. We have have spoken to the kitchen to ensure that our quality is not compromised like this again as this is not acceptable. Regarding the halloumi chips we can assure you that these are hand cut, on site, from blocks of halloumi and then cooked to order. We are sorry if they were not as you expected. We were really glad that our staff were helpful and we would like to thank you for your constructive feedback as this helps us to improve and maintain our high standards. If you would like to discuss this further please contact us on [email protected] thanks,Kerri

I visited here during a stay at Premier Inn. An operational issue meant that I wasnât able to dine as planned very late on the Friday night. My return the next morning for breakfast was a total delight. Served by the warm, friendly and efficient Kazi, it arrived in a timely manner and was cooked just right and was very tasty. I returned the next evening and had Beer-battered Haddock & Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Joe and his team were all superbly efficient and friendly, always making me feel very welcome. As with breakfast, the food was very tasty, satisfying and cooked just right. Beefeater at Moor Mill is lovely, cosy experience. The decor, the nice level of lighting, the beautiful surroundings, and the restaurantâs location in an actual former mill all make a visit here truly special. It is surrounded by lush lawns, a pond and abundant wildlife. Next time I stay at the nearby Premier Inn Iâll definitely return to Beefeater at Moor Mill, to again experience the delights of this lovely hidden gem.

New comfortable renovated pub in North Watford just 5 minutes walk from Watford Junction Station along St Albans Road. We are family friendly and have a Beer Garden behind the pub. Our Head Chef is 5 star trained and has worked at The Grove Hotel in Watfo
Staff really very nice. My partner had lamb I had beef. Beef was not pink in middle pretty dry. The lamb looked nicer. Roast potatoes were like boiled potatoes which was a shame as everyone loves a roast potato. Plate was hot which I always think is important. Yorkshireâs were homemade and very nice. Iâd say an average roast, starter was nice. Would we go back for food? Probably not which is a shame

Pub food
Charming pub, friendly staff, piping hot traditional English food! Visited during lunchtime with family on a rainy Saturday and we all ordered the steak and ale pie. This came with really crispy chips and standard peas and carrots. The gravy was delicious. The waiter who served us was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. This is an unpretentious traditional pub ideal for casual & cosy dinners and drinks. The menu is quite limited, however, we were informed this was due to change soon and we hope it keeps up the good quality! Will come again

I just saw a really good film on Netflix called Yucatan. Thoroughly recommend! It's about a long series of ingenious and complex swindles with the intention of convincing an elderly lottery winner to give up his fortune.Unfortunately for me, Battle Axes and their brewery Chef & Brewer have managed to concoct a heist of equally dastardly proportions - and this time it's not a fiction. The staff told me that vouchers can't be used on the following promotional menus or deals; Wednesday burger & drink, Thursday steak deal, Friday cod & chips deal, Saturday sirloin deal, discounted lunch and evening set menus.I accept that I should have checked before ordering but when you go to a pub for lunch and see the word "lunch menu" (the words discounted not featuring anywhere near this by the way) you don't then have to expect to be unable to use your voucher! The waitress, Jade, who had an awkward demeanor (exacerbated by an inability to stand up straight) was stubborn and patronising in dismissing my complaints.I also HATE table service in pubs. You're not a pub, you're in a restaurant! I hated the awkward shape of the conservatory we were put in making sitting angles atrociously uncomfortable.Lunch menu choices were dull.In the immortal words of Garth, my ex-colleague: if every person in a restaurant is white British, it won't be good!Yucatan; available in all good dvd retailers, and some rubbish ones as well.Dear Mr "Yucatan"I am sorry you didn't enjoy your visit, however some of your information is non-fiction in regards to your description;firstly the chain name is chef and brewer not the name of the brewerySecondly as you said which it states on the Tesco vouchers you must notify a member of staff on arrival that you have Tesco vouchers or will be using them towards your meal not after you have ordered and its ready.Thirdly not only does it stated this information on the Tesco vouchers which you haven't copied and pasted but it also says this on the lunch menu that you chose to order from. Fourthly you can dislike table service in a pub however we are a restaurant so this is irrelevant to a pub like environment if you wanted to not be looked after you could of sat in the bar area and ordered at the bar no table service .another fact to provide you with is what you have written about our member of the team is not only victimizing but also very rude especially when you don't know them and I will inform you she has a disability and to knock someone like that makes you look like an "Ableism ! " Lastly everyone is entitled to there opinion on sitting or tables however this is a listed building so this will not change any time soon.so once again thank you for your delightful review !!

As an old coach house that dates back to 1758, The Green Dragon became a pub several years later, steeped in history, with original features including the low beams and the fire place in the bar area. Julie has been the owner of The Green Dragon for 10 ye

The Red Lion is a traditional pub located on the high Street of lovely Radlett Village, Hertfordshire. Offering a fresh, seasonal menu in a classic pub environment with a separate dining room for special occasions and romantic meals. We also cater for lar
Second time we have stayed here. Staff friendly and helpful , outside seating a bonus. We love the little luxuryâs in the room particularly the coffee machine and toiletries.Would have happily given 5 stars but the food at dinner was poor. No steak on a Saturday evening was rather bizarre , chips tasted like oven chips and pie of the week very bland. However would definitely stay again and recommend it just wouldnât eat there again. Many thanks for your review and feedback. I was disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your meals the evening of your stay. Our pies do change each month as do other of our menu items but thank you again for your feedback. I'd hope you would try dining with us again during any future visit. Our chicken Kiev is always a winning choice! Many thanks

The Broadwick is a restaurant and bar offering homemade popular global food with an extensive drinks selection, including a range of cocktails and gins. The menu is extremely varied and includes traditional favourites as well as dishes with a more modern
The restaurant and staff are exceptional, but they overcharge for the happy hour drinks. This has happened twice now. On my first visit I only realised when I got home that they had taken £2.50 extra. On my visit yesterday I found the same exact overcharge on the receipt. They corrected the bill, but itâs simply not right to advertise buy one get one free and then sneakily charge the wrong amount. Please sort this, the till can easily be programmed to ensure customers are charged correctly. Should not have to spend 5 mins studying the bill.
